He was bad against Washington and had Herbert been on target he would have had a couple long TD’s against him that game. He is not ready to be on an island with the better WR ‘s in the league. He has been exposed a bit and it is going to be a problem if we try to keep him on an island
I don't think the Cowboys even gave up a 100 yard receiver until the Washington game, and in that one it was so lopsided of course the DBs were going to be cautious and give up a lot of underneath completions so they didn't screw it up by giving up big plays.
He may not have been his best against Washington, and he damn sure wasn't good against Seattle, but that hasn't been the story the other 11 games. You don't fairly judge by picking the two worst games anymore than if you picked the 2 best.
But the thing is, Dallas plays a lot of man coverages, and of course that can open up opportunities for the opposing offense as long as they protect the QB. But the point is, in the Cowboy defense there are going to be one on one matchups. You can't avoid it. And, overall the Cowboys have done well with that. 5th best in the NFL only giving up 181 passing yards per game.
