Not at all...being full of one's self is your job. And you still didn't say didly on topic...as charged.

The topic of this thread is about whether or not a handful of guys who didn't play last year will solidify the defensive line.

What thread are you in? I've already said all there is to say about it. "Probably not".

Sorry, you spent your quarter already...and when you entered, you didn't backpack any of that in with you. Laws of probably are at your advantage as always...Murphys Law, if you can go wrong...you will. And the attitude leaks from your quotes, again.

So what would you like me to say?

I provided an additional quote on topic, and you have done no work besides running your jaws. Let's see if using your STATED stance on subject, not mine, if you can baffle us with wit.

Describe just what will be the contributions of Anthony Spencer, Amobi Okoye - since he was added to roster last season, and George Selvie.

And not just prolonging with a continual shoveling of crap. Let's see, Ace.

What you actually say, I could give a damn...you seemed to think you were at the Alamo with a series of lines drawn in the dirt. If you are about a discussion, now start...otherwise, to again quote Humphrey Bogart, 'frankly, mame, I don't give a damn.'

Excuse me. Bogart???

“In the words of Humphrey Bogart, ‘Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.‘ "

Was an often abused misquote, for character highlighting...

This line is also spoken by Rhett Butler in Margaret Mitchell's novel Gone With the Wind...

4. What's your favorite Bogie line?

DAD: (still teasing) "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"?

ME: (rolls eyes again) I said Humphrey Bogart, not Clark Gable!

DAD: Okay, okay. "We'll always have Paris." (Casablanca).

I was pretty sure he was going to pick "Here's looking at you kid," obviously from the same movie, but I like this line, too. Then again, it's probably because I like Paris so much.

Could the addition of Brent, Okoye coupled with Spencers return solidify our dline by midseason? The return of scandrick, increased experience for youngins and leadership of Wilcox could make this defense formidable by the 6th game. R McClain may solidify our lbs.

I feel like this defense will give me feel good moments..just maybe not early :/

I would rather go 0-16 with the new guys than to the playoffs with Brent.

Good one. I've always enjoyed one of his less famous lines, "People lose teeth talking like that. If you want to hang around, you'll be polite."

Maltese Falcon.
Loved the book by Hammett and adored the movie!
That's it:
I'm going on a Bogie marathon.
Starting with The African Queen...

OK, gonna try bring this back on topic a bit.
My opinion does not mean squat, but I have one - so here go's. Talking about the three players who may or may not play for us, I think 2 out of 3 aint bad - to quote Meatloaf : )
I have a limited amount of hope for Spencer, and would not rush him back but kind of let him slowly work that knee into shape with a controlled amount of snaps - seams like a mid-season contributor. But still not really expecting him to be the player he was, anything from Spencer is a bonus at this point. But if he can play limited snaps, his game time experiance would be very useful.
Okoye - Iam very hopeful for, with both what he has gone thru, and the player he can again become (I hope). But slow and steady must be our mantra with a player with his condition. Again, mid to late season as he rounds himself back into football shape, and like Spencer, would provide game experiance. Signing him to a 2 year deal is where I see us reaping the benfitts as by next year he may be back to being a fully contributing rotational player. Quick, young and big - he's reportatly around 310 lbs !
Brent - sorry, I like the way the Cowboys have stuck by him. But I would not bring him back. However, if they choose to, again mid-year at least by the time he rounds into shape. And I only see him as a goal line/3rd down run stuffer, and not much more. Would prefer just to stick with the young guys Coleman and Bishop.
Where I see the defence being alot better is NEXT YEAR, with also Lawrence back and maybe a solid position for Crawford (hate that they keep moving him around) The above mentioned guys being healthy and a year removed from their injuries/illness. And I liked the pickup of Gardener, so him and Lee should workout together, let Lee rub off on him for a season. Plus we have to go draft heavy on D, in next years draft, no trading up and loseing picks (my pet hate).. I think we may suffer through another bad defensive year - hopefully offset by a great offensive year. But come next season I truely expect our defence to finaly take a quantum leap forward ! Maybe even 1992 good .....
(and sorry aboiut the spelling, in a rush ).

The defensive line is getting better. It's a work in progress. last year there were guys playing who had no business being there. I routinely saw guys the last few weeks of the season I had never seen before. This year there's a conscious effort to acquire depth at the Dline. The talent might not be there yet, but there probably won't be any weekend warriors either.
