I think this line could be 'OK' against the run.
The biggest problem I see is they are relying on Spencer, Selvie, Lawrence, and Crawford for a pass rush. All of them have issues at this point:
We all saw how the secondary did with the inadequate pass rush last season that still managed 19 sacks from Ware/Hatcher.
- Spencer - Unknown commodity at 4-3 end, trying to come back from micro-fracture surgery, in his 30's, etc
- Selvie - NFL journeyman who had a career year rushing the passer last season. Can he do it again? There is tape on him at this point
- Lawrence - Not sure how much he'll contribute in 2014 having missed almost all of camp. Hopefully can contribute as a 3rd down specialist later in the season
- Crawford - Need to see what he can do. I have heard good things about him -- however, I haven't seen much since he was drafted in the pass rush department
They are really going to have to have a number of things go their way this season to match last year's pass rush.
I'm hoping for youthful exuberance at this point.
