Backup NT? Woods was arguably the most consistent d-lineman for the entire season.

That's how you continue having problems...they need good players. McClay should be looking for better than the DTs that gave up 270 yards rushing.

We lost in the trenches. Line backers couldn’t get free. None of them had a good game. Front 7 embarrassed.

They couldn't stop the run all game. Just got out muscled and dominated.

All year I thought our defense was good because of line backers and secondary with an ok DLine.

The dline was completely ineffective.

No pass rush at all the whole game and linebackers didn't have a chance to stop the run when the dline couldn't hold any ground.

I've been saying this for 5 years...I guess they buy in to Rod's "coach em' up" horse crap. Demote or retire Rod. Move Richard into the DC role and for god SAKES let's get aggressive and stop laying back. Need to sign a DT and draft one too. Then sign and draft a safety and then draft the best TE and Oline depth we can. Most everything else set. I'm not in love with Dak...he has flaws but we could do worse. He'll be back IMO, and they'll do him and the O one helluva favor if they get rid of Linehan too. He's just very average at best.

Pass rush was negated by the Rams misdirection and effectiveness running the ball. Whenever the Rams had 3rd and long, they got in Goff's face, but how often were the Rams in long distance downs? Short passes are tough to stop because they happen fast.

Let’s not get crazy here after this loss. Big Antwan Woods 99 is the truth!! Kid is only a second year player and very stout in the middle. Changed this defense and set the tone in camp. He is a keeper at 1T. Get a dominant 3T and a SS and let’s play ball in 2019!
