Deforest Buckner

One of the most misleading things I hear fans say is the "they are in all their games"....that means nothing. Thst means you can't close games which is what bad teams do. How many games were we in when we went 4-12? We rarely if ever got destroyed.....

And how many games have been "unable to close" as well?

Or is that different because it's the Cowboys?

They said the same about Reggie Bush.

Zeke's a good back that could be great, but he's not the first to wear the "generational back" label.

Yeah but unlike Bush he actually proved it his first season.

There are zero holes in Zeke's game. He has size, speed, power, run vision, and balance. He can make tacklers miss or run them over. He can catch, run solid routes, and pick up the blitz. If NFL scouts could draw up a prototype running back with all the skills they look for, the end result would be very close to Ezekiel Elliott.

Bush was always a hype product coming out of USC. He was a speedy, big play back. But he was never going to be somebody that could handle 20-plus touches per game. Unlike Zeke, he was not worth a top five pick.

I was talking about the Cowboys as well.....I even brought up what we did 2 years ago....we sucked.....but our point differential per game was very close. It would come down to either a field goal or less than a touchdown....

And they had those same close losses this year, just like you're ripping San Francisco for having.

Ripping 49ers? I wasn't ripping them.....I'm telling you that bad teams find ways to lose in this league. That's what separates the good teams from the bad.

And what game was close? We beat the Cardinals and the Giants.....neither one was a close game.

What is your point? That the 49ers are a good team?

That you're being hypocritical.

You want to say the 49'ers are a "bad team" because "bad teams find a way to lose in this league". The Cowboys "found a way to lose" their last two games. They're a "bad team" too by those standards.

I guess they couldn't see Deforest for Defence (or Detrees) :D

Ok....but Dallas IS a bad team too lol. I'm confused to where I'm being hypocritical at?

If you're admitting they're both bad teams, you're not being hypocritical.

If that's the case, I stand corrected. My apologies.

I was not a fan when he was linked to us in the draft.

But I was wrong. He's a very good player.

I'm not sure what this comment means, can you clarify?

It is code for ignore the fact that he is basically approaching Bobby Carpenter territory and that since he was a lowly 28th overall pick you should not have expected much from him anyway.

He has been able to correct a lot of the things that made him a risky boom or bust pick coming out of Oregon.
