Deion Hinted at Jerry Making A Big Off-Season Move...

...on the NFL Network last night Deion said the Cowboys were his NFC favorites for next year because the Cowboys have 2 # 1 picks and the Cowboys would use one of those for a big off-season addition. (I'm sorry I don't recall the exact words he used but that was the gist of it).

He ended his comments by saying (and I remember this specifically)..."That's all I'm sayin' right now!"

Did anyone else hear it? We all know Jerry and Deion are tight and Deion was all over the T.O. to Dallas story back when everyone else was saying there was no way Parcells would have T.O. on his team, so when Deion hints that he has heard something about Dallas, my ears perk up.

The only addition, (using one of our first round picks), that I can see would be Chad Johnson. Who else is out there that he could be talking about?

I'd rather have WR Roy Williams over Ocho, but that's just me.

We'll see soon enough!

In an odd move, Jerry trades his #1 to pull Deion out of retirement.

Agree. I think either would be a great addition but I'm partial to Roy Williams.

It'd be fantastic if we could get rid of a Roy Williams for a Roy Williams.

That would be fantastic indeed! If Jethro could pull that off it would be the best trade he ever made.

if we give up a first for chad, i will be sick
chad is a me first player and i really dont think he and TO can coexist without destroying the team.
in any case, chad can likely be had for a second (i would not do this though)

havent we learnt our lesson from the giants, they got better when tiki and shockey left.... these players are more talented but they suck the collective life out of the team.

as much as i like Roy (wr) chad would be the better compliment to TO. he is faster than TO. on the other side TO is faster than Roy, but either is fine with me

I'd take Fitzgerald over either Williams or Johnson...

Roy would work here, but I think Johnson and Owens would clash...

I'd rather have him right now than Reeves again. :)

I'm certainly not saing I like Chad Johnson but T.O. and Chad are friends who talk all the time about their end zone celebrations, etc. Say what you want about his antics, but Johnson is a tough, gifted receiver who has a lot of Michael Irvin in him.

I do think the Roy Williams trade is more likely. For some reason I forgot about him.

I don't dislike CJ like many do, but if we used a 1 on him, I'd be incensed.

Andre Johnson? He isn't available is he? There is no way the Texans let him get away.

Please tell me Jerry is not consulting with or even informing Deion about his upcoming personnel moves...

I really don't think this should surprise anyone. Dallas is close. Very close. The loss to the eventual Super Bowl champs left a bad taste in Jerry's mouth I'm sure. I think this offseason in Dallas will be similar to the offseason the Pats had in 2007. Go all out in order to bring home a trophy. We'll see. I do love the fact that Dallas has leverage to do whatever it wants.
