I'd take Fitzgerald over either Williams or Johnson...

Roy would work here, but I think Johnson and Owens would clash...

Same here.

I think Ocho is better than Roy W. as of today but i'd take Roy because he is younger.

Agree. I think either would be a great addition but I'm partial to Roy Williams.

:starspin I would prefer it be Williams as well.

I'm sorry to rain on everyone's parade but...

Deion freakin Sanders isn't kept abreast on what the Cowboys are going to do. Jerry Jones does NOT text Deion with his offseason intentions nor does he ask his thoughts on them. JJ is a master business mind and sharing information with anyone outside the necessary circle, especially a loudmouth ex-player turned analyst like Prime, is dumb business practice. There would be no beneficial reason to share inside business practices with the likes of Deion. But there would be PLENTY of reasons NOT to.

Deion is simply speculating using his "If I know my boss Jerry..." intuition.

Just like he "guessed" when he said T.O. would be in Dallas months before he signed.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but Deion is tapped into what's being discussed at VR due to his friendship to Jerry and current players like Romo.

Isn't he due something like $15m and $18m over the next two seasons? If so, something's going to happen.

even though it's not a big signing, is M. Turner.

If he comes at an affordable rate, he could easily pick up the exact same role that Julius had and should be able to do a better job at it from what I have seen.

This would free up more first round picks for the BPA which would most likely be defense and possibly a WR if JJones doesn't trade for someone like Williams.

It will be a very interesting off-season with Jerry, like the rest of us, being VERY dissapointed in not reaching the SB.

Stephen Jones (see this thread in the Daily Zone) just basically shot Deion's assertion down in flames.

No he didn't Hos if that recap is accurate. The way Deion said it, it sounded more like a trade of one of our firsts to acquire a veteran player.

We will see. Should be a fun off-season.

Chad Johnson is on the down-side of his career. Tj Housewhatever (cant spell it) made all their plays last season. On paper they should had did what the Pats did this season in point production. There talent is on paper amazing.

Roy Williams will be nice but the prize poession in all this is Fitzgerald. He was on the radio here this week and from the people who heard it (I didnt hear it) he said he will be traded. Hes due almost 15 million dollars next season and the Cards are way over the cap. Fitzgerald could be had for a 1st and a 3rd. We are nuts not to do it. Hes young, he came out when he was 22. He still has 10-12 seasons left in him. Before everybody jumps on the whole auroa of we should never touch a draft pick ask yourself if Fitzgerald was in this years draft at his age etc what pick would hed be? Number 1.

On Deion, Deion and Jerry are tight. Deion says he can borrow his jet when he needs to on the NFL network this year. I defintly can picture Deion walking into valley ranch and going into Jerrys office and shooting the breeze. I do not doubt that this did not happen.

according to them they are ~30.3 million under the cap...so plenty of room to play with. also we are close to what they say and AdamJT says in the Daily Zone

I just dont see us going after Fitz, we need a burner if Glenn is done. Once TO went down, none of our WRs could get any seperation or challenge the defense deep.

I know Austin got deep against the G-men a couple of times but Romo was running for his life and never got the chance to throw deep. Our o-line was raped in the 4th quarter, made me want to puke seeing receivers open deep but the line could not give Romo 2 seconds to set up in the pocket.

Thats what Howard Eskin on WIP said yesterday. He is due about 15 mil this season and they have to trade or restructure it if they want to keep him on the team. Last week, he was on the Eskin show and said he was probably going to be traded. I didnt hear that show but third hand told me that.

I agree, Houch coaches his lineman to be more physical and rely less on techniqe. I think that is why he always likes bigger guys, all else equal.

Some may disagree, but getting houch was a major upgrade, he is one of the best o-line coaches of all time.
