Ironically, after Desert Storm and accumulating some head and leg injuries, I did a lat move to the Air Wing where, after going back to school, I became an Avionics Technician on the F/A-18 Hornet. 3rd MAW, 11th MAG, VMFA-242(AW) The Bats out of El Toro. As you know the Blue Angels fly the Hornet and I'm most privileged to say that I've seen them many times. Our Corps would have been honored to have a man such as you. I "get" people without having to know them.

Pushing all that mumbo jumbo aside, I will say this. My heart is with Murray. My heart is with all the players. But at the same time my heart is more with the team. Regardless of which direction we go, I have renewed confidence that our guys are finally going in a direction that will sustain us over the long term. In a perfect world we'd have Staubach starting, with Troy as his backup, and Romo as the 3rd. Maybe even Meredith on the practice squad? *chuckle* All kidding aside, point is, the Dallas Cowboys, and we as fans, have a lot to evaluate and consider with a knowledge that we know nothing as to how this will transpire. But as fans, we can hope. We can hope that our FO does well in their evaluation process and makes the correct decisions. Oh yes Sir, we can hope.

And yes, it's ok to dream...

Wow, what a wonderful experience! Again, thank you for your service in Desert Storm and for your personal sacrifice for your country. It must be thrilling working on those Hornets! I love that plane - its leading edge, the trapezoidal wings, the angular rear stabilizers. One of the most beautiful birds in the sky! And the Blue Angels blue and yellow markings just kill it! I always dreamed of riding in the passenger seat in an F/A-18 with the Blue Angels. Nowadays, I don't think I'd survive those inverted rolls and 8g forces. :)

I think I like the F-22 Raptor because its rear stabilizers look a little like the Hornets'. Kind of looks like a hybrid of the F/A-18 and F-15 Eagle. Still, the Hornet gets top billing for looks. :)

I love your dream QB lineup. Can we get Bob Lilly and Randy White to pair inside at DT? And Larry Allen and Erik Williams on the right side of the OL? :)

Be careful lusting after a 30 year old back with over 2,000 carries. His downside is a coming!

His downside was every season after 2000, you might be able to say the same time about Murray season just gone. Can you live with the downside is the question.

Murray has less than 1,000 career carries.

Yeah, but he had an amazing season do you think he will have a better one? If not then is that not his downside?

Murray's downside 1,688 yards on 4.8 a carry

Pete's downside is 1,140 yards on 4.1 a carry

And AP gives you even less in 2016.

Yeah, all true and what will Murray get after all those touchs. I'd prefer him over AP for the right price, but very few players have come through what he just did without loosing a step.

Except Minny would have to pay him 13 million.

Just as they have been paying his salary with no prob. Fans here want him over Murray after his career year. Sure Minny can live with that, or at least the next 2 years.

I do not want to bring Murray back. We need a back who can make some stuff happen when he gets to the next level. Murray will get you the yards that are in front of him but that's it. So many times he hits the wrong hole and he can't make anyone miss to get some more yards.

And his fumbling issues.

I'll admit that we've seen Murray have problems at the second level, but he also brings the stiff arm when he runs outside that's gotten him a ton of extra yardage.

You do realize Peterson has more fumbles, right? Not just in number but overall.

Further, your second label comment is not what wins games. What wins games is moving the chains on third down.

The absurdity of this argument against the best running back since Emmitt is now getting to the point Reality needs to give drug tests to posters who make these claims.

I would only offer Murray to a contract between 3 - 4 Million and throw in some free "How to Hold the Football Lessons" as a bonus.
