4 Years and $16M. That's it. Take it or leave it. If Romo, Witten, and Dez are willing to take less with a paycut (no restructure) to help sign their friend Murray, then I'll add more to the pot. Sorry, RB is not a priority. Gotta give credit and seek those who can make the hole over those who run through the hole. Especially when the hole-makers are also the ones responsible for keeping the QB upright.

Murray is expendable. Many backs can hit the hole. Murray is nothing special.

Priority 1: Dez
Priority 2: McClain
Priority 3; Parnell or Free
Priority 4: What to do at CB
Priority 5; Murray

Really, SMH

The Cowboys more than likely aren't in the playoffs at all without the season Murray had.

Not losing sleep if he leaves is one thing. Acting like he's some bum that can be replaced with a snap of the fingers is something else entirely. Give the man props for the season he had because it was a great one. No reason to hate on him.

I'm not dogging on him, although I was being a little sarcastic. We can not pay him anymore than an average back. He had a great season but you do not pay for past performance you pay for what you anticipate. I anticipate a strong likelihood for wear and tear and a propensity to fumble that he had 17 games to correct but did not. He never changed the way he carried the ball. He can stay at the price of an average runningback because his play from here forward will likely mirror that of an average running back but behind this line, will look top tier.

Yes! Bring him back an injury prone back who had a string of good luck with his health and had an absurd amount of carries and cost us an NFC championship game berth with a fumble that was a problem since the first game of the season. Bring him back at a price that hinders the progress of our defense! Do it Jerry! Show us your the same old GM!

But we must sign the guy who had less than 100 yards in two post season games?

We dont sniff the playoffs w/o Murray's production.

Dennis brought up a good issue on Murray on the TC show. Give him a deal but Gaurantee him 12mil in the first 3 yrs and ill be he takes it. Release him at the age of 29.
Exactly

Dont throw away an elite player because of this silly notion that RB shouldn't be paid.

This guy isn't Marion Barber. On his best day, Marion Barber was overrated. I know some point to that bad deal to justify their stance to not pay Murray.

As the great Bill Parcells said about Barber: If I use him more(starter, more carries) I dont know if I'll get the same production.

Murray is no Marion Barber.

How disrepectful! McClain? Parnell and Free(and I love Free)? CB?

If they resign Dez and Murray, you can put you, me and whoever in those other guys spots. You win because of stars(murray and dez) and not because of McClain.

It would be foolish to just throw a star away.

Some in the org. think Randle is a 1,400 yard back? I think 1,200 is tops.

I believe Murray is a 1,600 back the next two years and he's a 10,000 -11,000 career back.

I hope he does most of it in a Cowboy uni !

This is awesome - no Ingram, no AP, no Gurley... just the quiet guy that goes about his business with fight and determination. 27 years old. 1 of 3 triplets that should be the MVP of the entire NFL. Led the league in rushing. Led the team in attitude. A true captain. How can that be wrong?

Can't be wrong to have him back.

Being cheap and stupid is not how we will improve.

I hope he stays.

We all understand why he might leave.its human nature to want financial security.

But this team has few stars and we must keep our identity players.

Sean Lee is another must have guy we need back which will have a big impact.

Redo his deal and let's give it to Murray if needed.

I like McLain but he's not Sean Lee who will be returning.

I think he stays. But I still would look at Gordon or Gurley if dline or corner arent on board at 27. Demarco randle and one of them would be studly.

I thought he tore his acl at the end of the season but when I did a google search, it didn't come up. So I guess I would agree with you because Gurley was a monster when he was healthy. If not him then I wouldn't mind Yeldon in the 3rd.

Thats a way to view it.

i could also bring in the picture he posted and interpret the waving as a good bye to Dallas. Doesnt it look like it ? Funny isnt it ?

There are alot of ways to interpret his posting. But in the end nobody knows.

My point is that i find it very interessting that some people here see their opinion confirmed by meaningless twitter posts from players. There is so much more envolved in this.

Some people just can't live without drama :D
