Emmitt had nothing to do with that play but I do recall he would fumbled too. The only thing that turnover prevented was getting about 15 yards. You are being too presumptuous to assume any more.

I regularly peruse here, participate plenty too and surprised I'm not seeing the angst on DeMarco's 3rd quarter fumble that I hold as being huge and unacceptable. He proved to be a workhorse this year but that one play, when we needed him most, he didn't deliver, period! With a potential new contact looming, that fail was a back breaker and shouldn't be glazed over......

Maybe we could have deflated the balls so that Murray would have an easier time gripping it. Heck if the Patriots can do it and get nothing more than a handslap, why can't the Cowboys?

The Patriots has the least amount of fumbles this season. So its safe to assume maybe that has to do with them cheating the system. So if the Patriots get nothing more than a slap on the wrist can we do that with our balls to so Murray can hold onto it better?

What do you mean there has not be angst over that play? There were numerous threads for days after the game about how his "fumblitus" cost us a trip to the NFCCG..............that's also probably a factor in how much to pay him, if Murray breaks the line and scores a TD and we win the game and play Seattle in the NFCCG, Murray would be priority number one to resign, even elite money possibly...............not so much now.

That fumble cost him millions if you really want to be honest about it.

That fumble was a huge play in that game, no doubt. Though I think it's already gotten its share of coverage.

It was a great play by Peppers, but it still doesn't happen if our back is five-pointing the ball as he should be going through the line.

I'm undecided if that play or the incredible lost opportunity at the end of the first half contributed more to our loss.

Coming out in shotgun on 3rd and 1 was a bit weird and then you had the mishandled snap. Even with all that being said though, if we make that field goal, it's a 6 point swing more than likely.

Peppers made a heck of play. People act like Demarco would have scored had he not been striped of the ball but the truth is he would have only ran another 15 to 20 yards because of his lack of break away speed. That play was not the "back breaker" that some people claim. We had the game under control until it was stolen from us by a bias Blandino.

I also agree that he would not have scored with his lack of break away speed but who knows. But he has to be more aware when navigating in traffic, especially in big games, he definitely choked.

But let's not act like that would have been the only choke job because we had chances in the 2nd to put major pressure on Green Bay and choked it away. There were other chances in the kicking game that were choked away, a bad pass catch call that went against us when the ball clearly hit the ground. There were unnecessary sacks, the list goes on. No one play hurt us, it was a collection of missed opportunities.

Having said that, if we want to ever go to games like the Super Bowl, we cannot, and I repeat, can not make those silly little mistakes. No matter who we bring in here, or how talented we are, we have to play smarter football, and take teams out when we have the chance. Truth be told, we got lucky in that Lions game because we always play up or down to competition.

That's true, but I think our leeway was less with the defense we were rolling out there. In the second half, we just couldn't stop them. Yet, you watch Seattle and they're making HUGE mistakes all over the field on offense and it just flat doesn't matter because that defense is extremely talented. Well, that and Green Bay botched on onside recovery.

That's true. We should have had at least another 3 points at the half. That Demarco fumble costed us some points more than likely. The overturned catch costed us some points. The non-recovered fumble on the kickoff costed us points. You start doing the math and even one of those plays probably ends up winning that game.

At least I don't feel like vomiting when I think about it anymore. That's an improvement at least.

Despite that inopportune fumble by Murray, that's far from being what he's all about. The FO will likely consider all these things in future dealings with DeMarco. I've got the feeling that the Cowboys organization will conduct their upcoming negotiations with DeMarco in a manner that exploits all avenues to come up with what's best for both DeMarco and the team.

Stephen has already stated time and again that he wants to retain both Dez and Murray if possible but not at undue stress upon the organization's salary structure. I can't really conceive of a more realistic approach to enter negotiations with DeMarco for the sake of arriving at something amenable to both parties.

Here's hoping that effort is blessed. The players want him back for a reason. The front office is likely to consider every angle of his worth before making another offer. I can't help but think a realistic solution will more than likely come to fruition regarding DeMarco. We'll see.

To me, the most regrettable play of the game was our failure to recover the Packers' fumbled kickoff return when we were up 21-13. They ended up scoring a TD that drive.

Murray's fumble, not recovering the fumbled kickoff return, and Dez's catch were the 3 biggest plays in the game. Hanna had the ball right there! We could've stepped on their throats at that point. We pissed that game away. No doubt we could've beaten Seattle again and we'd be going for #6 one week from today. Ughhh....

If Martin makes his block, which was an easy trap block, Murray is untouched. Peppers dove from behind and knocked it out perfectly. Just a lucky play based on great effort. If Murray is to be punished, then Martin has to be punished as well.

Martin did make a helluva block and cleaned his man up, Murray has to get through that huge hole and HOLD ON TO THE BALL. Martin did his job.

People love to overlook stuff like that though because it completely slays their agendas.

Aa someone else so perfectly stated earlier, if not for Demarco's will to carry the load and his ability to inspire those around him our beloved Boys would most likely have never made it to the divisional round.

The fumbling will resolve itself. As much as I am ok with whatever happens with the Demarco situation, I hope they find it in their minds to keep this core together. We have one or two more very good runs in us and one of those will lead to the Super Bowl. & I don't just mean an appearance...
