Um, what?

Ware went out of his way to talk about how big a loss it was that we cut Flo. All that was said by Trey Wingo was that we havn't done anything in FA.

He then went out of his way to say that we need to draft someone or bring back Flo because if you can't protect your QB, you're in trouble.

Meanwhile...where's the mention of Free handling the duties? The drafted LT got a mention..Flo got one..

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

He did not mention any of the starting O-linemen.

Are you for real right now?

He STRICTLY talked about the LT position after losing Flo.

He actually mentioned some possible solutions for that.

Free was not in the mix.

He did not go out of his way. Trey said there was alot of changes in the NFC East, Ware was like (paraphrasing) 'hey dont forget about the cowboys, we had changes too - see we lost Flozell.' He did not say anything about drafting or bringing someone in. He said you have to protect your quarterbacks back/blindspot. Seriously, this is a mountain out of a mole hill.

I'd love to see video of this to see just how twisted my memory is. Because I do not recall the events as you described them.

This.

if you're JJ you've got to hedge that bet. Maybe he thinks Bigg is the backup plan if Free can't hack it. But I think you take a tackle early this week whether you believe in Free or not.

Another angle to this is that the Ravens are one of the teams that I keep hearing are supposed to take a TE. Maybe Marty B and a third for Gaither, or Marty B and the Cowboys 4th for the Ravens 3rd or something like that could work out.

Never let logic get in the way of emotion. The complacency on this board about the O Line never ceases to amaze me. They are one injury away anywhere on the O Line from a catastrophy. Draft O Line early and often cause upgrades are needed in a few spots. Also lets not sing the praises of Free and Brewster just yet.

In the interview on the ESPN release schedule show, not sure if any of you caught it.

They were talking about all the changes in the NFC East and with the Cowboys standing pat. Demarcus brought up losing Flozell and said we have to draft a guy or bring back Flozell because if you can't protect you're QB you're in trouble.

Absolutly no mention of Doug Free. No vote of confidence that he can do the job.

Sorry if you don't think this is a diss, but the fact that Ware says we have to draft or guy or even bring back Flozell speaks volumes.

He could have easily just said that Flo was a big loss but we got guys that can take over.

Doubt it.

Its not in his makeup to diss people, especially his teammates.

:laugh2:

You're going to get so owned when that clip appears.

Everything you just said was false.

Honestly..if you have not seen the video, please do not comment on this.

You'll see for yourself.

Maybe he didn't mean it as a diss towards Free. He couldve just been showing Flo some respect.

I know that's not his makeup.

But silence is golden.

I think I have seen every interview the guy has done.

I have heard and seen him forget peoples names, teams they play on etc...

He is a real carefree guy it seems and him going on espn and attempting to take a shot at Doug Free is the exact opposite of who demarcus ware is.

But if your bored tonight and wish to turn it into some conspiracy, by all means knock yourself out.

Dash28...is that you?

Do not know who that is.

Remember what you said to that lurker earlier?

Thats what I think about people who only joined last year.

Ware doesn't seem impressed with Doug Free

You are going to watch this video and you will never hear the name Doug Free.

And that's the problem...

I know I am going to hear from some people that it's not a big deal that Demarcus Ware never even mentions Doug Free when discussing the release of Flozell Adams and who will be filling the role at Left Tackle.

You can think what you want.

And I am sure Ware in his next interview will be asked about Free and he will say all the right things to sound like he's very confident in Doug Free stepping in for Flozell Adams.

That was a candid interview and Ware was the person who brought up the release of Flo. Wingo didn't even approach the position as being a big change for the team. Ware brought that up all on his own. And then he immediately went to the draft in terms of finding a replacement for the veteran.

Now we are talking about an OLB who would have faced Doug Free many many times in practice. It's not like Free hasn't been on this team for a few years now.

I am not saying to panic and start sending in letter to Jerry that he now has to draft a LT at #27.

But if I am Jerry and Stephen Jones and I hear this I think it would be wise to make a call to Demarcus and ask him why in that moment the name Doug Free was nowhere to be found in the mental rolodex.
