DeMarcus Lawrence: We have to play against opponents + refs

I understand that. I don’t see Lawrence helping to create many turnovers at all.

I think he played a big role in our game against Philly. I'm not saying he's been Pro Bowl caliber, but I think what he's done isn't terrible either. Like I said, he kept us in the game with his play on Tyreek Hill. Might help if we had a couple more physical LBers. Overshown should help when he's back, and we need to draft another physical Lb. However, I think DLaw has been fine. Not great. Not terrible, but fine.

Dallas desperately needs a classic thumper middle linebacker.

He's right, and I hope the players are all this candid. Coaches and Jerry too.

Maybe, just maybe, if we shine a bright enough light on the POS refs jobbing us on a regular basis, we'll only get screwed like 5 times per game instead of 10.

Whether true or not, I don’t agree with him publicly voicing this opinion. Players will react differently to his statement. Some good, and unfortunately some bad. MM needs to shut this social media down.

Sounding just like Mahomes and KC fans sound now. As for them, this is what happens when you all of a sudden find yourself as a not-good-enough team while trying to cling to the entitled glory years of the past. Powerhouse teams just get it done. Not-good-enough teams whine about "dark forces" tryin' to keep them down.

I imagine that this year and the last, many players feel that the officiating is so poor that it factors into game decisions just like opposing players, coaches, fans and the weather.

Just another consideration that has to be taken into account

I disagree. It’s the state of the nfl these days and not specific to any player or team.

Speak'n truth.

Some fülls here will say it's whining or making excuses. Nope. It's concrete fact and it makes winning it all flat impossible.
then how does a team win it every single year for 50 years and counting?

Oh no.

I knew this would happen.

This rampant loser mentality has now totally infected the locker room.

You notice he didn't just say The Refs...but also Hostile Environment.

Every team has to play against the refs and Hostile Environment....(did you see a ref literally tackle Lamar Jackson for a safety last night?, or thr 100 yds of penalties SF got? Or the laundry basket of flags against Philly yesterday?).... but the teams with winner mentalities don't start feeling sorry for themselves...they just keep scratching and clawing. SF will be back better than ever. Philly is in complete disarray right now, where nothing at all is easy for them and nothing is clicking...but they refuse to give up or succumb to this victim mentality (I don't think it will help them survive this year, but this fighter's mentality will help in the future)

Us?

Whoa is me. Why Me? Why us? They're all out to get us. Not our fault. Someone needs to protect us...to help us. Help. We're victims. Whoa is me.

That's been the fans in HERE forever....and now it's obvious the players feel that way.

Disgusting....weak....soft.... millennial mindset.... please create a program to help us and give us something for free. Until Jerruh is gone....it will be one soft creampuff season after another
it all stems from the culture jerry embraces and mike does it too same for his staff

Ok. So let’s say the law treated you completely differently than other people. How would you handle it?
Or at your job?
Or what if a king was making you pay taxes without representing you? Would you be a crybaby and throw tea in the water or stay loyal to the authority not being fair?
Throwing tea is taking action they didn’t just cry about it they took action lol.
Refs suck for everyone but it seems like Dallas players cry the most. Get over it, crying isn’t going to change anything.

I just like the irony of the one puffing his chest about hitting the opposition in the mouth until they quit and then hitting them again is the same one crying about how the big, bad refs won't let them be successful and that "it's so unfair" like a 5 year old before they understand how the world works. And I love what Lawrence brings to the team but this crying about the refs stuff gets old when the defense isn't getting it done.

Talking about it is the only realistic way to deal with this problem. It’s a form of protest. Similar to the tea.

Maybe you get over it and quit worrying about what are people are doing that has no affect on you? :D

I dont like commenting on others posts but are you watching the games. I am not a huge fan of Lawrence personality but he might be our best all around Def player. The guy is a macine out there. Might be one of the most underrated players in the league.
Most people are casual fans anymore and don't have the attention span to actually watch the game they're on their phone messing around and just throw out comments
