Obviously all of Jerry's face time this week hampered Ware getting his contract.

I 100% believe that this would have been announced an hour sooner if Jerry hadn't spent those 60 minutes on TV.

the stadium was quiet yesterday till the romo play. Next sunday will be the worst home crowd of the year.

Well, in perspective...

THat is about 6.5 mil a year.

Figure that a guy like Clinton Portis and even Cooley for the skins made over 10 mil each last year, I would say we got a good deal considering the impact the players have had on their teams on the field. I would say Ware had more of an impact for us than either of those two had for the skins.

Yup that's exactly what i mean.

That's alot of money. And why ? just because those 6.5 mills are only the signing bonus - nothing else. He will get alot more then only the signing bonus. But the signing bonus is what counts when you lookg at contracts in a salary cap perspective - nothing else.

And i look only at the cap not at anything else. Look at Haynsworth's deal. He got 41 mills garantued but over 7 years. That's the same amount of money but divided over 7 years against your cap. That is a whole different deal and much better then Ware's.

Ware will get (from what is said so far) around 75 mills. That's 12.5 mills a year. That's no cheap deal. That's what Haynesworth gets in his first 4 years.

Laufenberg said he had breaking news for the score yesterday during the game, I instantly thought ware had a new deal coming because of jerry down there talking to him.

Turns out it was the 1 for marty b, but ware got the deal too.
