You obviously don't follow the NFL

The transition started two years ago...most of the good teams have transformed away from being passing teams

Most of the good teams can do both is really what it is. With nickel defense slowly becoming base defense for so many teams it became more and more valuable to be able to take advantage of soft fronts with the run game. But with the number of quarterbacks throwing for 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns continuing to grow I certainly can't say it's not a passing league either.

Think what he means is the teams that are winning superbowls are the ones that are able to control the game with the run.

Teams are winning the Superbowls with solid to great defenses. There's a handful of teams who rely heavily on the run game but this is still a passing league. Quarterbacks are racking up 4k yards like its nothing.

In the nfc the 2 teams who played in the nfc championship game were 2 and 3 in rush yrds per game. The top 4 teams in the playoffs rushing were all from the nfc. In reguards to the Cowboys who play in the nfc i think the rushing game is more important.

I hate the thought of losing Dez but I really love this thought LM.

Ive always felt you dont risk the future for one player unless its a franchise QB. Especially a WR, as great as Dez is this league is made for WRs to be successful. If you have a good QB IMO you will have a successful passing attack. I would take Kevin White at 5, TW, and beasley and Melvin Gordon at 27 with a total cap charge of under 6 mil over Dez at 13mil all day long. And a whole lot of money to improve the defense.

Thinking about the recent SB and the WR's on the field that day shows you don't need a dominant WR to win a championship. And if we do move on from Dez then we better win a SB because I don't want to play the 'what if' game the rest of his career.

Agree with this, but trading a player like Dez at this point in his career would get you alot back in return. And i think you improve the team with the extra money youd have and extra top picks.

Since Peyton is retiring soon I would franchise tag Demaryius if it were up to me. Paying big bucks for a WR is not wise if you don't have a reliable QB that can consistently get the ball to him.

That's a false comparison.

It's White, TW, Beasley and Gordon at 8m vs Dez, TW, Beasley and Gordon for 17m

That 9m isn't necessarily spent on other players, it may just stay as TSmith's unadjusted contract.

It's interesting that Bryant and Thomas are arguably 2 and 3 as far as best WRs in the game and went back to back in the mid 20s whereas the next year two WRs went top 10, one them top 5, and are both below them

i would take dez over DT every time,DT is more of a YAC guy but Dez is way more clutch and one the best red zone targets although i think we should put Dez in more situations where he can take a short pass and see if he cant just bully his way into huge gains.

Thats why I feel its smart for dallas to just tag dez these next 2 years.

It's a passing league. Not a receiving league. Rodgers, Brady, Romo, P. Manning, etc will be who they are regardless of who is catching their passes.
