I think it really depends on how many years Tony has. I kind think (barring injury) Tony has a good 4 years left, assuming he stays healthy. I think the window on Dez is probably 5 years. This is not to say that he will be retiring in 5 years but I do believe that his health will likely allow him to play at a very high level for another 5 years. Perhaps he can go longer, maybe not, I don't know. I think after that, we see diminishing returns on big contracts. While I think Dez could help a younger QB, I don't think its likely that he will. If Dez is still playing in 5 years or so, I think it's much more likely that Dez is trying to finish his career trying to win another championship. I don't think it's as likely that Dez will be signing up to develop another young QB. That's just my own personal guess on it. Who really knows?

I love how you alluded to Dez already having a ring at that point. Very subtle

Neither is what you said. Considering it was based on last season when we still had Murray. So i guess we are even

Actually, mine is. This team has not struggled to score many points in years past. The defense has struggled to stop the opponent. Even before our offensive line featured the likes of Travis Frederick and Zack Martin, the team scored points. Even without running the football at all.

So yes, my statement is. Yours is simply panic attack commentary based on unknown factors. Dez could sign in two minutes, effectively nullifying your statement into the annals of terrible posts in the history of this site.

I have not had my coffee this morning. Pardon any sharpness of the tongue/fingers.

Don't hold back on that to the quick analysis right now, it has to serve you optimumly for many years to come, Sir. When proof of your gut reactions become very much harder to sustain...God speed, Sir!

So what you are saying is without Murray, and without Dez, our offense will be fine? Ok then. Thats factual

The cost of players is just crazy. I can't blame them for getting what they can get but goodness.

In what way was Demaryius' year weaker than his prior seasons? He had career highs in both receptions and yards.

Not in the stats so to speak unless they are accounting for dropped passes, inconsistent routes and lack of will to win the battle. A neighbor of mine in the Denver press club says he's good and has the body type to be amazing but inconsistent and does not work on his game like he should.
Now that coming from people who watch Peyton Manning work his butt off, maybe comparing the two which is not fair. If you watched his December last year he struggled but so did Peyton at the end of the year. Overall he's not consistent enough or aggressive enough to be in the top 5. Dez and Megatron go after every ball and fight to come away with it. Thomas is not as aggressive and has the body type to win those battles. This is what I'm hearing/seeing which forms my opinion.
Just saying.
