That's BS about the 9ers going into shell.....yeah they went conservative but did anyone think the worse defense in the league could even stop the 9ers even playing conservative? Did you see the Aint's game last year? Where they had over 30 1st downs?

Am I going to put them in the Super Bowl after this performance? No.

But this defense is made of guys off the streets, players other teams didn't want, rookies and underachievers. So for them to show a pulse? I'm going to give them props. They had a certain nastiness out there especially McClain that i've been wanting to see from them for awhile.

Considering 4 turnovers, the D was serviceable for being so depleted. No sir the over paid QB is still the problem here...

the only problem here is I got trolled into replying to you. I will be nipping that problem in the bud now.

The Dline didn't get pushed around like preseason. Our LB's played good and McClain did a nice job laying some hits out there. I want to trash this secondary, but I'll trash the garbage zone scheme that we love to call so much. Why don't we trust our CB's more often and let them play man every now and then? Very disappointed with the defensive schemes that don't suit our CB's strengths. Did we pay Carr his big contract and move up for Mo so they could just sit back in zone??

I think they respected Kaep running too much thats why they were playing a lot of zone

Yeah, knew that was coming. He's not as mobile as Kap, though. I guess we'll see if we give him zone coverage, though.

Well...actually Locker ran a 4.50 and Kaep a 4.53...but who's counting?

Sarcasm in abundance here.

Titans are young...with a good head coach. Next week's game will be interesting.

Front 7 held their own today against a pretty strong 49ers running attack. It's definitely something to build on.

They were better than expected, but really, we're still talking about levels of not-so-good.

I wouldn't put too much blame on just the scheme. That very first big completion to Boldin Carr had him man, not zone, and was trailing 5 yards behind him when Boldin caught the ball.

I'll answer for him. No. Durant is decent. Wilcox is no worse than equal to Church. A bit more hit and miss, but at least he'll act.

Its not about how good or great they are. Durant and Church are the most consistent and solid players we have on this team going back to last season.

I'm looking at everything open underneath, like the back door slants, and middle of the field. Why not gamble more on playing more man and challenge these corners to jump routes.

Ummmm Niners went into a shell after the 1st quarter. The defense still has a terrible secondary.

I agree although they weren't as bad as we all thought.
Anyway, we all can see it, this is a 4 win team at the most, especially with Romo stinking it up like he did today.

P.S. On the brightside, there's no way Garrett is coaching this team in 2015.

i know people are trying to be optimistic and take something good for this game. But they were up 28-3, you don't think they took their foot a little bit off the pedal? Toss in a couple of shady referee calls and hey, it actually looked like the cowboys stopped the 49ers

If by consistent you mean consistently chasing TE's or WR's all over the field running with the football... and if you mean solid by coming up with a solid form tackle on said juking target- then I agree with you.
