As far as the comments about Dallas staying away from Texas players, I don't think they have necessarily stayed away from players with Texas roots (Crayton, Ayodele, Keith Davis, Aaron Glenn, Whitley.....off the top of my head). I do think they have avoided UT, however. I think that is the college that the FO was referring to when they mentioned "country club" colleges.
Remember when we let Larry Allen go? Everyone knew he would go to the 49ers because he was from that area.
There is such a thing as a person just wanting to "go home." Another example from another sport is Roger Clemens going to the Astros.
I don't see what the big deal is about people pointing that out. When they say it, it means that it (being from Texas) could be a positive thing that could tip the scales a little bit in favor of something we all may want. That's all. No need to get up in arms about it.
