Say Dallas takes Barnett at 28

Pick 60 is up, Jordan Willis is still there and Dallas snatches him up

How do you react to this scenario

I'd be thrilled. Just getting Barnett would be enough for me.

I'm OK with back to back. Seeing Brown do well last year gives me confidence that lower-round guys that fit the scheme can do well in Dallas.

Desmond King, Kazee...good options for us in round 3

I'd wonder how Barnett and Lawrence are going to like backing up Tapper and Willis.

And is it even possible to run a functioning offense with that kind of edge presence? Probably not.

Other than that, just enjoy the mental ward distraught over the CB depth chart.

It'd really surprise me if the first two were DEs.
But if it happened, you kbow the guy theyd take at 60 would have to be someone they really loved (and thought was a steal)

Id like to know who was also available in youre hypothetical senario when dallas snaches up Willis?

Then I would know how I would hypothetically react to the above referenced senario

Lawrence
Crawford
Irving
Mayowa
Gregory--susp

Thats a very young core group
Teams usually keep 4 or 5 DEs
Who are you cutting if we add two?

Just curious..honest question

I'd be pretty stoked and worried about our secondary.
I can see that concern, but at the same token any day 2 CB we take will likely be 4th on the depth chart, at least at the onset. Good DB's with starter potential should be there at our 3rd round and even our 4th.
The depth of the DB class is why I wouldn't feel so bad about missing out on a DB in 1 and 2

Cut Moore. Crawford is more a DT where we are only 3 deep if he is at DE.

If you keep 10 DL

Collins
Paea
Thornton
Crawford
Lawrence
Irving
Tapper
Mayowa

Draft pick

Cross the bridge with Gregory when you get there. Im not holding a spot for a guy that is going to miss almost all of the season

You'd like to keep 9, but 10 is very doing. Crawford probably allows you 3 DT's

Not expecting Gregory back and this is dlaws last year. That's why I'd want 2.

Did the team do this because of BPA or need?

If these are the BPA at each pick, then I'm OK with it. If it's the same reason as the 3 CB draft from 2000, then NO.

I'd be fine with the OP assuming its BPA at both spots. We can still get a starting Safety in FA and whatever CB we draft is going to be 4th on the depth chart.

Dallas has shown lately that A) They draft very well and B) they won't reach for a position just to fill a spot. When DeMarco left after 2014 they had several RBs on their draft board and refused to reach for them if they had other players rated higher.

I'm fine with it. I Don't think they will take more than one DE because they don't want to carry any more or cut anyone, but I would if it came to it. Yes there's a numbers crunch, but it's not crunching uber talented/productive players so I don't really care. Find room for them if they think they are that good of prospects.
