Deuce Vaughn Darren Sproles

He is a rookie and you take a chance of injury just getting out of bed.

You can't play safe, that's how injuries do happen.

Duece will help this team win games but it's not like he is a starter. Trying to "rest" or "save" him for regular season is silly, especially with Pollard, Davis and Rico

True, but I think he's easily better than Davis and Rico.

It sucks what happened with Overshown. Hope he gets healthy soon. On the bright side, I'm really delighted about Vaughn. He reminds me so much of Darren Sproles with his shiftiness and his abilities. Considering that we are now a WCO team, a player like him is essential. Especially since he's hard to spot for the defence until he's several yards down field. I think they should not play him next week. Imo, his roster spot is locked, and he should be automatically on the team now.

Was stupid to even play overshown. He had clearly made the team and was going to have a big role. Why was clark playing?

Not sure why people keep posting like he had a good game. He had one good run. The whole night he had 5 carries for 14 yards, and 1 catch for -1 yard.

Deuce Vaughn stats through 2 preseason games

13 carries 64 yards 4.92 ypc 2 td's 4 catches 5 yards (longest runs 26 and 14 yards)
Outside of 2 longest runs, he has 11 carries for 24 yards 2.18 ypc

By way of comparison, stats for Rico Dowdle through 2 preseason games:

14 carries for 59 yards 4.21 ypc 5 catches 42 yards 1 td (longest runs 9 and 7 yards)
Outside of 2 longest runs, he has 12 carries for 43 yards 3.58 ypc


So while Vaughn has shown the capability of hitting a bigger play than Dowdle, Dowdle has actually been more consistent in terms of his YPC so far and has outproduced Vaughn in terms of his receiving chances......all while Dowdle has played the first half with Vaughn playing the second half...yet all the love for Vaughn.

I agree. He's wasting our time. I think the 3 backs should be Pollard, Dowdle, and Vaughn. I'd also have Luepke as the FB.

Definitely, I mean, I know we need some people to play, but Overshown is a lock and looked good before the injury.

The QB keeper on this play is a walk in TD except Cooper Rush.... it'll be a marathon

Sad they didnt bring in better backs. Might have to put davis on practice squad for injury concerns about top 3

So you create a post with a video not to show Vaughn's play ability but rather to somehow slam Cooper Rush....on a play not designed as a QB rush? Damn man, you really do go above and beyond to keep playing your tired old card.

You have to look at oline performance. Last night the oline was 3rd string terrible when deuce was in there.

Yup. When he had a lane , he took it……sometimes it was blown up early

Teams are already teaching defenders on how to attack him.....see him & run thru the tackle vrs letting Duece juke you.
Effective when he is behind 3rd string O.Line, and then on the way to the Qb...85 bears D

Much like there is a group salivating at anointing Deuce as the next Sproles/Sanders....so perhaps they cancel each other out and allows the games to dictate his play.
