You still trying to convince yourself?Vaughn is going to have to make some plays in preseason if he’s going to have a role on the 53. We all questioned Turpin’s size heading into preseason last year. He ended up returning a punt and a KO for a TD in the same game, which locked up his roster spot.
I think he was just speaking to his size and that it may not disqualify him from achieving at a high level because of it.Sproles is once in a generation player stop comparing people to him.
He was the same size when he was dominating Power 5 schools in the NCAA 7-8 months ago. As long as the coaches don't treat him as you would, he'll be a very productive pro.Its a feel good story.
but I think he's practice squad at best.
he's little.
I just find it hard to imagine these little guys on special teams where some of the biggest hits occur, but Sproles excelled there and was able to stay relatively healthyEveryone that is saying Vaughn is too small, must have never watched Darren Sproles play in the NFL. Sproles was like 5'6" 190. I think Vaughn is like 5'5" 180 and can still add some bulk. I think he could be something special if given half a chance. Also, it's not like he didn't face big guys in College.
LOL the Cowboys brass should have reached out to you and get your approval prior to drafting him. Because, you know, you really know what you're talking about. Please accept my apology for questioning your authority.I know exactly what I’m talking about and his size will prevent him from being one of our top two backs entering the regular season. Our second back is going to have to be able to push some piles and move the chains in short yardage situations.
We should all be pulling for all of our guys....not talking about you, but we know many around here don't want certain players to succeed. As far as this kid, I saw him play live and he has a lot to offer. I am pulling for him do, just like I do for all of the Cowboys. It’s hard not to love this guy. I’m really pulling for him.
You honestly believe he’s going to end up as one of our top two RBs entering the regular season? If you believe that football isn’t for you. He won’t even sniff 10 touches a game. There were a few games last season where Pollard didn’t even get 10 touches. He'll get 5-10 touches a game. Nothing extraordinary, but not horrible. Not a high ceiling guy, but I think they're giving him opportunities to contribute. He doesn't have to be great, he just need to get ahead of a couple guys in a less than stellar running back room.
Don't care about his story, size, or his supposed heart. Just don't put the ball on the ground, please.
I do believe that DV is top 2. But that's ok. I know he has to prove it and I like what I'm seeing so far.You honestly believe he’s going to end up as one of our top two RBs entering the regular season? If you believe that football isn’t for you. Lol
You may believe it, but it won’t end up that way. Their second back is going to have to be able to pick up those dirty yards and push the pile when there’s no room. It’s going to be a back with some size they can count on in short yardage situations and near the goal line. We have to be able to punch the ball in the endzone from inside the 5 yard line.I do believe that DV is top 2. But that's ok. I know he has to prove it and I like what I'm seeing so far.
