We should all be pulling for all of our guys....not talking about you, but we know many around here don't want certain players to succeed. As far as this kid, I saw him play live and he has a lot to offer. I am pulling for him do, just like I do for all of the Cowboys.
ranchero, we DO pull for all of our guys and coaches and even the hot dog vendors , but we also critique them when they fall short and celebrate them when they do well. Just business and never personal

some fans invest their heart and soul and expenses by going to even away games as well so there’s many levels of commitment here. Nobody should expect perfection because they are just fallible humans like the rest of us

the very fact that we still show up here to comment on a team that hasn’t gone past a divisional round in a quarter century shows our commitment . I want Dak to get a Lombardi here instead of a hired gun like Rodgers because he’s put the time in, like Romo did. I also wish Zeke and Witten could still be here to get a championship because they were key core players.

I‘ve seen Deuce play against some really good college defenses, many with multiple NFL draft picks. Anyone see what he did to Ala last year in the Sugar Bowl? He had 133 yds against Ala including an electrifying 88 yd TD run. In the second half he didn’t do as much because his team was forced to throw.

Look, I get it he’s small. But he’s always been a guy who was way better than people a lot bigger than him. Maybe he won’t be much. I understand why he’s underestimated. But I can see this guy being a good spot player in certain situations. He’s not just a little guy. He’s a football player who happens to be small.
You are exactly right! Those saying he won't make the team, I feel it's their desire for him not to make the team. Why not give the young man a chance? If the professionals who know a whole lot more about football than we do, have a plan for him, just root for the young man rather than shoot him down!

So because one or two small guys have made in the NFL that means that Vaughn will too?

Thats some kind of logic right there.

I like the kid, but you cant fault people for having doubts. If you dont have them then you arent being honest.
Please point out where I said Vaughn would make it in the NFL or faulted people for having doubts. What I said was, people selling him short just because of his size were being a bit premature. I also said, If he is given a chance, he could turn out to be something special. Reading someone's post and deciphering what you want out of it, instead of taking it at face value, is something I would expect from other people who post on this forum, not you.

So you you tear them down to make yourself feel better...I get it...

He should read my comments and take notes, because I’m right most of the time. Are you booking that Vaughn will be one of our top two RBs entering the regular season? Don’t dance around it, provide an answer.
I already placed a cyber-bet that DV will lead the RBs with all purpose yards this season. Never said he will be the leading rusher. Of course any prediction can be wrong. I get it. We should probably tone it down with the personal attack. A stern warning went out this week.

Mick Shots: Wanting to be dead-solid perfect

OXNARD, Calif. –

Deuce's Wild: Been watching sixth-round pick Deuce Vaughn in practice for two weeks. Somewhat in awe with a few things he's done, especially in the running game, either hitting holes between the tackles or quickly bouncing outside to beat defenders to the boundary. His swiftness is sudden. He is defying gravity And even head coach Mike McCarthy says, at just 5-feet-5, Deuce is hard for defensive linemen to locate since they are used to looking straight ahead or up, but not used to looking down to find the ball.

Hopefully you didn’t bet a lot of money. And saying football isn’t for you isn’t a personal attack. It’s an opinion based on your insight into the game. We see things differently and there isn’t anything wrong with that.

Everyone is pulling for him, but he’s not going to get near as many touches as fans are hoping for or are predicting he will get this season. Currently he has three backs listed ahead of him. I think he’ll make the team, but he could also end up on the practice squad.
He's more than a "back". He's a legit weapon. An asset. Opens a lot of offensive options.

Criticism is fine, continued hate isnt.

Someone is going to have to be able to pick up the tough yards and punch it into the endzone at least fairly consistently or it’s going to lead to issues.
I just don't know who it is going to be. I'm not seeing that player on this roster unless it is Luepke. Now, I will say that Pollard is more effective between the tackles than I thought he would be, but I'm not sure how he will fare if we rely on him as a short-yardage back.

Of course, maybe we'll just go to the tush push in short-yardage situations since the league is going to allow that to be a thing.

The depth chart will change, but I still don’t see him being one of our top two backs entering the regular season.
You have no vision brother, Im just being honest with you.

Lol, that first depth chart means next to nothing. They listed the backs by their time in the league.

I don’t know how good Vaughn will be in the NFL… but where some guy put him in the initial depth chart isn’t indicative of a thing.

We’ll find out who doesn’t have the vision because I’ll be getting back to you once the regular season starts with our quotes.

There is ZERO percent chance we see the new offense this weekend. We won't see it until the Giants game.
So we’re going to be seeing the old offense during preseason? Lol A new offense is a new offense and that’s what they’ve been working on in training camp and that’s what we’ll see in preseason. You can’t wait until the regular season starts to begin working out the kinks on a new offense. They’re certainly aren’t going back to what they were doing in the previous offense during preseason. We won’t see all the wrinkles until the regular season starts but we’re going to see the new offense.
