DO. NOT. WANT.

That was nuts. I could not believe my eyes when I was reading that...

Oklahoma State's Dez Bryant, one of the top receiving prospects in next month's NFL draft, watched Jones' workout.
--------------------------

Who is advising Dez Bryant?

The last thing he wants right now is to have his name in the same article with Pacman Jones.

If there was one thing that would make me completely turn around and think 'no way in heck do I want to take a chance on him' that was it.

Really? lol.

You are a complete liar. I am not banned from any message boards.

And you don't know me. Trust that.

You and I were members of DCFU like five years ago together. My name on that board was ParcellsGuys. When the Cowboys signed T.O. I changed the name to DCFanatic. There wasn't any bet involved.

You have always been a ******* and everyone on here knows it. This is the reason you don't post on here besides in the graphics section. Same thing at CF and everywhere else.

The fact that you are lying on here isn't a surprise.

It's the same thing you did back in the day when you were booted from some boards because you were sending PM's to people to try and get them to go to your new message board - NFCBeast - which was gone in about 34 hours after you realized only four people were in your idiot click, lol.

You got busted doing so and were banned.

Giants fan. lol. Let me guess. Because I live in NY.

Lame. You always bring the lamest stuff bro.

Try growing up. Seriously, it's time.

Wasn't Latin the main guy over there? Or at the very least the main graphics guy?

Oh yeah. I think he still is.

The place was alright. But of course he and the weak minded drones that thought was the coolest daddy-o because he would argue with everyone and belittle anyone new to the board ruined it.

He was banned. Brought back. Then banned again. Brought back. lol.

He kept crying to come back again and again. Then he would turn right around and act like a ******* to the people who were allowing him to come back and be a part of something.

Yeah, he's that guy.

The one who has no friends so you let him hang around because you feel bad for him. Then about an hour later you realize why he has no friends and you want him off the planet.

:laugh1:

Seriously. I was all ready to start saying he was worth a shot.

Now. Pass on him.

Chilling with Pacman is that bad in my opinion.

Things change.

We also didn't win a playoff game in a very long time.

Miles Austin and then who?

After another year of Roy flopping around the other spot will be wide open.

Bryant can work his way into the offense this season and then be ready for a starting role come 2011. Add in Ogletree who looks to have a nice upside and we have the makings of a '2008/2009 Cardinals WR trio'.

That group killed it in 2008 and found themselves in the Super Bowl.

yea with a good tight end and some goood runningbacks..imagine that...cause the cardinals didnt have a good running game nor a good tight end and we mighht have 3 good ones if bennett can do his thing

He may have more in common with Pacman than I like but that's not a disqualifier for me. People are going to have to look past some of the cultural differences (if they do exist) and focus on his football skills and true character. I'm not expressing all that much interest in him. The smoke scares me but I haven't had a chance to interview him as the FO has. He has scary talent and that shouldn't be casually dismissed especially since he could fall to us. We'd better do our homework because we are a playmaker on offense away from a SB IMO.

How frustrating - he's got all the talent in the world and would give me immense pause at #27 depending on how the board shapes up.

On the other hand, why associate yourself with some of these names? Pacman? He's burned bridges and burned the ashes of bridges.

I'm not so worried about his agent being Eugene Parker and having a similar Crabtree incident where's he asking more money than where he was drafted; you can have that argument at #10, not at #27. Felix and Choice are also under Parker so both parties need to play it close to the vest.

I'll trust our decision-making regardless; if we pass on him and he's there, it's because our scouting department decided that it was too much of a risk. If we take him, it's because they believe the past can be forgiven and the future brighter.

The validity of the interview process is quite poor in general. I'd stick to the facts when assessing his character and right now it doesn't look good (just on the basis of the facts, not the rumours).

from what dallas coaches say they feel about who they already have playing for the team. i think theyre comfortable.

there are plenty of guys who could contribute more to the team and not give them the headaches this guy will

Exactly. I don't know what these interview sessions could really accomplish, unless the guy comes off really poorly. These guys are all so well coached now, they should all say the right things.

And yeah, Pacman... So the Deion connection is still intact. Funny how the whole problem with the Deion thing (besides lying to the NCAA) is that people suspected he was acting as a runner for Eugene Parker. Who did Bryant choose for his agent? Yep.

The kicker is that when people avoid the guy partly because of Deion, it will be Prime Time himself who is whispering in his ear that the man is against him.

Anyway, I'm able to get an OKC sports station where I live, and Pat Jones is on every morning. I don't listen to it regularly, but I should call in and ask what the story is on Bryant. Coach Jones is still very well connected at OSU and he's very honest and frank about what he thinks about these guys and about relaying what he's heard about them. If the guy is that big a head case, he would say so.

We don't have any substantive facts. We have rumor and innuendo wrapped around his watching Jones workout (another Deion relation). Woohoo. Look, I don't like Deion's style but I don't get bent about his reaching out to those in need either. Bryant could pick worst friends by far. Deion doesn't do drugs, avoids hookers and the risks involved, is a Christian, and is successful. All in all a good person for Bryant to hang with even if I wouldn't pick Deion as a close friend.

Give the kid a break. He's broken no laws. He's a KID. Let him grow up some.

If there are character questions about a player and that same player goes to a Pacman function, That player is a rahtard.

I don't care about his past issues anymore, the kid is stupid and his advisors are stupid.

No stupid players allowed.

Black and white? Give me a break. Whats black and white is what Bryant just said. Not McShay or some other draft 'expert' reading that he was once suspended for being late for meetings on some random scouting report and making it something its not.

Are you saying that Bryant is lying?

I agree Fuzz

Unless proven for a fact otherwise, you have to go with what Bryant is saying and not rumors of what might have happened. He admits to past wrong-doing but not to being late for games and multiple practices.

Furthermore, if McShay said he actually did something that he did not do, I really think he should be liable. We are talking millions that would be stolen from this guy if the accusations are false. However, I think McShay has only said that he has heard rumors and has not said he knows anything for a fact.

To me, if it turns out the kid was even late for only 1-2 meeting and nevr late for a game....then this whole thing is a total joke.

Emmitt Smith was the king of being late for meetings , training camp, workout sessions, etc. I'm not saying it's acceptable, but this kid did not go out and get busted for coke while in college or anything illegal.

I don't know him, so I can't vouch for him. But this is a the guy's career that people are so easily messing with.

I am talking about the lying and the suspension - those are facts. I'm talking about associating himself with "unsavoury" characters (pacman) as he heads into the draft when he knows everyone is watching him. He doesn't "get it".

The other aspect is looking into whether there is truth to rumours of being habitually late to practices and games. If any of these rumours are true, I would hope he is removed from our draftboard altogether.

I just believe that character can't be easily taught. Either it has been ingrained into you during your formative years or it is likely to remain absent.
