Nope. Just means you were next up even in an injury shortened season.

They didn't pick names out of a hat

Dez didn't even lead the Cowboys in receiving, Beasley did. Beasley had more catches and yards than Dez and only 3 fewer TD's. Dez was hardly the next man up, he was well down the list of leading receivers in the NFC but he has the most star power which is why he was selected to replace Julio. The Pro Bowl game is dying a slow death and fans want big names/playmakers on the field that's where the votes go.

They should make you wear decals on your helmet during the game, college football style... one for each player who passed on the roster spot before you said yes.

I like that idea. Similar to here how they should have a number in parenthesis next to your username which indicates the number of accounts you've created to like your own posts.

It's whatever. But for real how he played in that packers game, him and dak are gonna have a great chemistry next season. That 40 yard TD with dak having pressure in his face was beautiful. Future is bright

Yes. I also watched the whole season, which I base my assessment on. Bryant had a down year.

Dez had a down year while Beasley had a career year but no one wants to see a Cole Beasley, they would much rather see a Dez Bryant regardless what kind of regular season he had. If you're going to replace a big name like Julio Jones you need another star receiver who'll sell tickets and draw TV viewers. The Pro Bowl game has really lost it's luster and the league is making all kinds of changes to keep fans interested in the game but it appears it's on its way out.

Yeah, been a long time since Cowboy players couldn't play in the Pro Bowl because they were prepping for the Super Bowl.

The last time the Cowboys were prepping for a Super Bowl the Pro Bowl was held after it, so it's sadly been never.

You're probably right but Dez did miss 3 games. based on 16 games, his pace would've been...

906 yards
10 touchdowns
61 catches

Those Giants games killed his season, he would've had a normal Dez Bryant season without those duds.

His numbers aren't what you're used to but his YPC was very good and he was still his normal touchdown hog.

In a way he missed 4 games... he played like 5 minutes in the last Eagles game.

I'm really meh about the pro bowl. Does anyone even watch this? Wonder what the ratings are

The ratings haven't been good which is why they keep making changes to try and draw interest in the game. The players and fans don't care. All the players do is **** around out there allowing big plays and laugh about it. They let backs walk into the endzone untouched, the game has become a farce.
