He's getting really bad advice.
The dude isn't playing it smart. He has a better opportunity with the Browns if he wants a one year prove it deal. Most recently with the Cowboys he's been covered by a CB and safety over the top, or just single covered by the best CB taking him out of the game. All of his big plays came from neither situation. The guy can still make big plays if he is single covered by just any CB/S. On the Browns he would not be the center of attention and has an opportunity to show off. Bad move on his part. Damn dude, 5 mil for one year to play football and have some fun. He's still a young guy with life by the nuts, he's gotta stop taking everything so seriously and personal.
He was single covered a lot last year and could do nothing. He's not the same guy he was in 2014. He's turned down the Ravens at 7 million per and now the Browns at around 5 million. He either doesn't want to play or hasn't yet realized the offers are only going down from here.
Romo.
Not even romo could help Dez at this point in his career. If the problem was just Dak, Dez would have a fat contract somewhere by now, but the tape doesn't lie. He's mediocre.
The only advice he's following is his left brain talking to his right brain. This is all him.
No team is giving him a huge payday for a partial season. He's already turned down the Ravens and scoffed at the Browns which is funny as he has zero leverage.
He’s not even 30 and our QB is good but will never be a prolific passer.
Dez not having a contract is his own doing.
Blaming him for lack of separation can be placed on coaching that lines him up in the same spot over and over and had him running the same routes.
They validated his complaints with all of the supposed changes they are making to the offense.
Not defending Dak, but Dez wasn't open last year. Sure he got offered..............at half what he was making in Dallas or in Clevelands case, less than half.
Or the fact that he was literally only able to remember about 3 routesHe’s not even 30 and our QB is good but will never be a prolific passer.
