Dez Bryant contract ---5yr $70m

Antonio Brown---- 4yr $68 M extension

Antonio Brown is the co-record holder for most consecutive seasons with 100 or more receptions in a year at 4 with Marvin Harrison. Dez contract averages $14 million per year. If my math is right, Brown is getting paid $17 Million per year and is the highest paid receiver in the NFL.

Considering that Dez was signed before the 2015 season and revenues have gone up substantially since then (increased salary cap) even if Dez were as good as Brown the Brown contract would probably be a bargain compared to Dez, but based on production and quality of player, Dez isn't remotely in Brown's league currently.

Dez' contract is a relatively bad contract cap wise for the team. I hope we are more judicious going forward.

Had we franchised Dez in 2015 and not caved in on his threat to miss games, we would have saved some money. He would not have gotten paid what he did after that injury riddled season that led to foot and ankle surgery. That season and the injuries would have lowered his stock with everyone.

Having a number 1 wr is going to cost teams. Fact is Dez is in the group of Brown, Julio, Green etc

Per average a year all those guys are getting more then Dez. 14 million a year is good for a receiver that can take over a game is requires a double team

Dez isn't near the level of the top tier receivers like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones and A.J. Green. I'm not even sure he is in the top 10. Somewhere between 10 and 20 if you are realistic about it.

Say again? lol Brown has done more than double what Dez has done the past 2 seasons.

Well, to be fair, Dez does drop more throws, especially in the biggest games. He disappears a lot more often too. Let's not forget that he is better at failing to run great routes.

All the above places Brown way ahead of Dez. Not trying to bash Dez he did play better later in the season but he's not the receiver Brown is or Julio Jones. Dez's stock has lowered from where he was in 2014.

That's insane and laughable. Dez is by far better then "I'm not sure he is top 10". Dez is better then Green and if Dez got the targets that Brown and Julio got his stats would break records
