That's insane and laughable. Dez is by far better then "I'm not sure he is top 10". Dez is better then Green and if Dez got the targets that Brown and Julio got his stats would break records

I don't think you are remotely accurate. Dez doesn't get the targets because he can't get separation. Even the DBs who play against him are taunting him about it.

I can esily think of 10 receivers I would take above Dez. I'm not kidding about him not being top 10.

You think the other players are wide open when the ball is thrown to them? Hell no they aren't but their offense throws them the ball plenty even when they aren't open. Our offense is designed for that.

Again you should do some research before opening your mouth

He made the right call to get paid.

I agree with that. It was great for Dez and bad for the team. That's just the way it is. Dez has practically stolen money from the Cowboys after his extension. Not literally, of course, but based on production vs contract he has.

Dez doesn't get the targets because he doesn't get open near as often as Brown and Julio which is why a lot of his catches are contested. He's not nearly as fluid a receiver as Brown and Julio. He has trouble maintaining his focus like those receivers. Even with Romo having his best season ever in 2014 Dez didn't come close to having the yards and catches that Brown and Julio have had during their biggest seasons.

Like so many others, Dez is largely a Romo creation. Tony has a canny ability to make a receiver into more than he is.

I don't think you are watching the games. Dez is hardly ever wide open like Julio, or A.J. or Bryant, even though the box is stacked to stop Zeke. That isn't acceptable.

Interesting that you mention the "4 less games" because Antonio Brown played without LeVeon Bell in four games. Do you think that not having Bell in the backfield dictated the coverage Brown saw?
Meanwhile, Dez played all his games with Zeke, and teams often stacked the box against Dallas.

Your assessment may be correct. You have to judge stats from a particular context.

Maybe Dez only got balls thrown to him when he was in single coverage? Maybe Big Ben trusted Brown more and passed him the ball in more situations and not simply when the Steelers were in the red zone.

There are a number of factors that mitigate against the numbers scenario you're trying to paint.

Just saying. :)

Ohok..So, we factoring variables and not the constants Dez and Brown. How many games in the last two season did Dez play over 70% healthy? Also, if Tony Romo would have been QB this year how many defenses would have stacked the box to stop the run a majority of the time even with an unhealthy Dez. How many games has Brown played with a broken finger? Dez has at least 8 games. How many games has Brown played with a back up QB that wasn't capable of starting for another team? Maybe 5 to 8 games tops. Dez has 17 games. So, I see your point but still at the end of the day Dez Bryant has 14 more TDs in about 150 less targets than Brown. Am I saying Dez is better than Brown? No, I'm not. I'm just pointing out to these Dez Downers that he is way better than they want to give him credit for.

Just saying :)

They wouldn't stack the box against Tony. I'm not making this a Dak vs Tony either. I'm just saying.

Look at the stats it's plain as day antonio has twice as many targets then dez and less catches and tds...what's so hard to understand? AB got shut down by a so called scrub in Brandon Carr and Anthony Brown...pfft please

You could say the same about dez he made dak look alot better then he was at throwing the deep ball..

It's not stacked to stop zeke only, it's also to slow down quick routes to beasly and Witten. I'll say this again dak misses open WRs like any other rookie would...he is not very good at seeing the open field. As calm as he looks in the pocket he more likely is looking at the rush as opposed to down the field. He looked very confused in the minny game and both times against new York if he dosent fix this we may not win the division next year

I think Dak will be ok with this next year.

I'm interested to see what Dak can do with Dez now that he will be working with the 1's. I don't buy that only Romo could build such a rapport else the Megatrons and Jeffries of the world would never have had success with similar games.

But don't forget, Dak did not play with Dez in practice much until after the Seattle playoff game which was after camp had closed. Dez got hurt after Chicago and missed 4 weeks early in the season too.

OTOH, both guys are competitors that live in the Dallas area. Dez likes to play catch ad nauseum and Dak is diligent by all accounts. I would bet they are already working on building a better rapport.

Keep in mind that Dez is not like most receivers. He is not the fastest or the quickest although he is reasonably fast and quick. His game is size, strength, and leaping ability. He doesn't have to be open to make a play. You just have to know how to throw him the ball.

Accuracy is what you are describing, and it can't be taught..

It's very clear you have no idea what you are talking about. Go back and watch Dez versus Norman last season.......I'm not talking about the stat line either

Brown is good even with Landry Jones throwing him the ball.

Romo sits, and Dez becomes a barcalounger.

Interesting.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ys-chemistry-with-landry-jones-will-be-better

In his appearances last year, the Steelers stripped down the playbook for Jones, wiping out much of the downfield plays. At times receivers became frustrated with Jones' accuracy troubles. After Jones had taken over versus the Arizona Cardinals, Antonio Brown threw a fit after a pass landed at his feet.
The All-Pro receiver hopes this time around things go differently.
"Obviously, it's frustrating not to have Ben out there, but you have to be positive and poised," Brown said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "We have to build Landry up. We can't be getting in his ear every play and saying 'I'm open.' Obviously, I know I'm going to draw a lot of double teams and a lot of different matchups. We have to keep him poised, create separation for him, make plays for him and keep him positive all game."

It's not just with Jones that Brown struggles to produce. In three games Ben Roethlisberger didn't start last season, Brown earned just 14 receptions for 190 yards and zero touchdowns.

Antonio Brown with Big Ben, since 2013: 50 games, 11.0 targets per game, 8.0 receptions per game, 105.6 receiving YPG, 36 receiving TDs.
Antonio Brown without Big Ben, since 2013: 4 games, 7.8 targets per game, 4.3 receptions per game, 58.8 receiving YPG, 0 receiving TDs
