So, you have nothing. Just guessing there is something we don't know about. Okay, I'll get my tinfoil hat. Seeing as how in 3 years, that'll be the end of his contract and he'll be 30, he might not be here. I would say declining play and injury history would play a bigger part in that.

You're right. Nothing to see here. Grown men typically bury their heads in the sand because they're "scared" and refuse to contact their employer as a show of maturity.

Dez has been a model citizen and teammate.

Reading some of the posts around here it's hard to believe he ISN'T some type of felon.

Ikr... Many on this forum hates Dez. He has been labeled mental midget..immature..needs to grow up..dumb..unable to think for himself..kid..terrible attitude..loud mouth..injury prone..incompetent..childish..he has also been described as having a minimal wage mentality..

I know why many of these posters hate Dez & look down on him as if he is subhuman. They feel they are better than him bc of not what he does but rather what he is...

What has he done as a teammate for you to say this?
It's easy to say something and not back it up.
So here is your chance. Let's discuss what Dez has done that has hurt his teammates?

You care enough to go off on that rant.
And you may be changing your point now, but your point was that Dez's apology was just an excuse. Just like you said.
Now I agree about professional athletes losing touch with the real world. It's not just Dez. Having millions of people cheer for you and know you combined with making millions of dollars does that to people.

I don't see the correlation between Sam Hurd and Dez Bryant? Hurt went to prison for getting in over his head running drugs. Dez has never had anything to do with drugs.
I also don't see what Johnny Manziel has to do with Dez? Another drug guy that has nothing to do with Dez. Dez isn't out getting into Bar fights and drugging it up. The guy is home with his kids and family.

I speak for myself. You do not speak for me so stop implying something different that what I said.

He probably is, but I'd guess that you surround yourself with more Cowboys news than you do Giants news so it only seems like he's receiving less attention for it.

http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york/giants/post/_/id/48497/is-giants-wr-odell-beckham-jr-a-distraction

He also has an organization that is tip top, from the top down, and doesn't allow his dirty laundry to air, like this dysfunctional front office is incapable of doing.

They handle their business in house, Jerry looks for 5 newspapers and 10 sports channels to spread the word. #publicitybaby

Ok. Let's look at exactly what you said.
Here it is:

"That is absolutely no excuse for his actions.

Suspend him. (why not, he is broke *** right now anyhow)".

So how did I imply something different than what you said? Dez wasn't giving an excuse for his actions. He was explaining how things happened while admitting he was wrong for handling things the way he did. I said this in a previous post and then you said you actually meant something different.
So it's not my intentions to speak for you. I am simply reading your words.

I said he should be suspended and he should. Period. What he said is of no consequence. Nothing more than an attempt to gain sympathy as that is all it will give him. He has a multi-million dollar job, and he couldn't even call.

You're sympathizing by protecting him now as you are by attacking me.

This discussion is over.

Turning off his phone because he expected a tear or something that would end his season. He worked hard in the offseason and had high expectations for himself after an injury riddled 2015. It's completely understandable why he felt the way he did. You don't have to like that he didn't go for the MRI immediately, but you can at least attempt to understand his thought process. It's certainly not as bad as some of you here are making it out to be. Not matter the amount of times you repeat it, what actually happened is never going to be as big a deal as you're attempting to make it. Sorry.

This is similar to someone getting laid off from a job for a year. Have you ever had this happen? It's not something you anticipate and stress mounts. Dez isn't a fan, he's someone actually playing the game. It's his career.
Well, at least we can always count on you.
