8yrs 108mil with 30mil guaranteed should get it done. It comes in below Megatron in total money, guaranteed money and avg per year but has more guaranteed than Fritz. That is fair for each side IMO.

Dez has three and only three choices no matter what his idiot agents tell him. He can sign a team friendly deal like others
before him and get his long term reasonable money or he can accept the franchise tag and play for about 13mil this year or
he can throw a temper tantrum and sit on his couch at home. That's it... Next year he'll likely be franchised again for 13mil + 1.2%
if he doesn't sign a team friendly deal. He can spout off on twitter all he wants but in the end, the Cowboys hold the cards and the
purse strings so eventually he'll agree or the Cowboys will draft his replacement next year and move on. Not rocket science guys.

Where does he rank in Touchdown catches?

1st, Never said he was not a great WR why else would I go on to say he should be in the top 3 in terms of pay? However he is does not get to determine what Dallas will pay. jerry has always done right by players hell he gets accused by many here of overpaying. It takes 2 to get a deal done I expect the Cowboys to be fair with Dez I also expect Dez to be fair as well. Some here think he should get what ever he wants. If Dez wants to be unreasonable then Dallas will Tag him if he is mad then so be it he is mad

When do you think the NFL will go back to players with morality, character, and a collectivist mindset to sacrifice their own ridiculous salaries for the benefit of the franchise.

Anybody should be able to be set for life after a few years even at vet min plus incentives.

Some fan said I love how loyal you are to the Cowboys and the thread title was his response. He also added that it's business. This things getting annoying and I feel will lead to a hold out or he'll miss a lot of off-season stuff. I'm his biggest supporter and want him to get paid, but he is going to clearly be PISSED if he gets tagged. Last thing we need is our best player being pissed. I'm not saying give him Calvin money but give this man his money. We need him more then he needs us, 100%

More sign he's turning into a diva.

This will get done. Tony has both Dez and Jerry's ear. It's a business like he said. I think it's just a pride thing. He wants to know he's one of the highest paid WRs.

How does he say the Cowboys arent loyal to him? He had and top 5 talent and just kept falling until Jerry accepted his baggage and took him. All the boneheaded decisions he has made and still the Cowboys supported him. I'm sure we are offering him a big contract and he questions loyalty? Come on.. he is probably asking for Calvin money.

We? You're just a fan, you aren't offering him anything because you have nothing to offer.

Why is anyone expecting that Dez is asking for anything less than Calvin money? The salary cap is expected to be between 20 and 23 million dollars higher than it was when Calvin signed his deal. And we think his agent wants less money than what Calvin signed for?

Doesn't matter what the cap is today, if you over spent yesterday. That's not the fault of Dez but it is what it is.

Dez I think your a great player but complaining about making 13 million dollars isn't going to help your image.

Calvin Johnson isn't worth Calvin Johnson money.

I'd be happy playing for 13 million dollars one year. But it's all relative, so I understand the balancing act that is being played between market value, worth, future of the franchise, etc.

As soon as the owners do.
