People fall down on frozen fields, it was terrible timing but it happens.

The int on the deep ball was all on Dak, he didn't see the safety and threw it up into double coverage.

That said either Dez isn't getting open or Dak isn't seeing him. I think some of it is the routes they are running but not sure it would of mattered the way Dak was throwing the ball tonight.

If your getting paid the money Dez is getting and you have 3 TO's in a big game when the ball is in your vicinity that is unacceptable...

I own a dez jersey but **** kid folds like a lawn chair in big games.... completely was invisible

Overreaction thread so I'll chip in Dak looked like a rook tonight

A rookie without WR's getting open for him and if they were in the case of Dez a slip, and not paying (to me) attention to where the ball was coming. That last play was just a low tough pass for anyone to catch...

This type of defensive scheme has haunted us since Garrett took over.

Press our DBs and blitz the heck out of us.

I know a lot of you want Romo but we've seen the same type of scheme screw him up too.

If we can't run the ball and we get predictable in the passing game than this happens to us at times.

Sure seems like the Giants manned him up with Janoris Jenkins and occasionally DRC and Dez just wasn't able to create any seperation.

the only people who had a good game today were the D and zeke... including coaches. The biggest issue I have with Dez is after the fumble he chilled on then bench like it was nothing. And even more disturbing was that no teammates or the QB went to talk with him. He sat there alone... with his arm draped on the bench.

I'll take a receiver who is so pissed off that he made such a huge mistake and is bashing his helmet on the bench, over a diva who sits there like there's no issue.

Not all the blame is on Dez. Slippery field, understand. Your in double coverage and weren't expecting the ball, semi understand. Targeted 8 times with 1 reception....

We must all take a step back and breathe however.. this type of game was bound to happen and Irvin was right, the team needs to lose to get refocused.

Back to business next week against Tampa. We got this just need to stick to our strengths.

You're embarrassing yourself.
What did he say that was wrong? Let's recap:

  1. Dez has 2 catches for 18 yards in 2 games vs our biggest divisional threat
  2. He had at least 8 targets and was responsible for 2 INTs
  3. When we had to have a play at the end of the game, he fumbled

Too often he disappears in big games. We need more from our $70 million WR. Way more.

Is this thread for real? Maybe we should trade Dez for Alan Hurns instead?

He was open a few times, but Dak threw it behind him on one crossing route, and under threw him by 5 yards on a come back route.

Have to say it too, there were some other problems. Church gave up two easy ints. Durant did as well. I think Hitchens had his hands on one. Butler dropped a TD pass that should have been had....it went right through his hands.

Honestly, I think the weather, cold ball, or something hurt both teams. People on both teams were juggling and dropping balls. Our playcalling didn't help matters, plus Dak's poor passes.

I think it's an overreaction to say he sucks. His route running sucks, no doubt about that. His inability to run crisp routes is why he rarely gets separation from anyone. Still the best redzone receiver in the NFL I think, which is a huge strength. He's certainly not on the level of Julio, AJ, Antonio Brown, OBJ, or even a Mike Evans (he's a beast), but I think he's at the top of the second tier. The issue is that we're paying him like a top 3 receiver.
