The issue isn't whether or not Dez should be an important cog in the offense. The issue is did Dak look bad, in part, based on him throwing to Dez 14 times? I think the answer to that is YES.

Part of Dak looking bad is because he was playing against a very good defense. Part of it was Dak had a bad game. Part of it was that his mechanics seemed to be off. But make no mistake about it, Dez was also a part of it.

It really doesn't matter in a sense, if Dez is open on every play, if Dak can't make a particular throw to Dez. He really can't throw the fade to Dez, and the back shoulder throw isn't all that great either. That limits how he can use Dez and how often he can throw to him. He was 4 for 14 in the game to Dez. That is a huge part of why the offense looked anemic this past game. If you can't see that, well, I guess you just aren't looking very hard. Getting zero yards on 10 plays either ends a drive, or puts you behind the 8 ball on down and distance. We have been much better at that prior to this week. That isn't good enough.

Beasley needs to be in the game on almost every play. Dak throws a very high percentage of targets to Beasley, and it has kept the chains moving. It happened this past Sunday when Beasley was in the game.

Romo throwing to Dez 14 times in a game might not be too much, but Dak throw in to Dez 14 times like he did last week (the way he was throwing it) was probably 10 times too many. You guys can point to the 4 catches Dez made and cheer like high school girls if you want. I am looking at the overall ineffectiveness of our offense because of the 10 misses made (which many were very ill advised) and see missed opportunities and drive killers.

No, they weren't ill advised throws. They were poorly thrown as were multiple passes to every other WR in this game. Pointing to Dez being open and then the throw being awful is not on Dez. It's on Dak. You call intelligent takes "cheering like high school girls" but thats exactly what you sound like blaming Daks miscues on an OPEN Dez.
