No. Because I didn't think he was the BPA and the real value there was at a position of great need.

no it wasnt.
the actual draft proved that out.
but you would have reached for what you wanted anyway because you are smarter than the rest of the league combined.

The opposite seems to ring true in our case last 3 seasons 6-10 8-8 8-8, that's what our obsession with value has gotten us and it's for the most part been pretty consistent what areas of our team has held us back during those seasons, it's not like we addressed one thing and another held us back our line play has been horrible throughout this stretch.
If we go 8-8 again this year i guess we can all smile about that 2nd TE and 3rd WR sitting on the bench and how much smarter we where then the rest of the league for getting them

Or lamenting the fact that you reached for a Olinemen for need. There is always a reason for fans to rant and rave.

I think the online is strong and has depth. I think the Dline has a solid starting unit with some question marks as far as depth but if Bass or Cohen step up and play ok and either Selvie/Rayford or Wilbur step up we could have the potential to have ok depth. Then you never know what happens once Ratliff comes back, there's definitely potential there and I'm not ready to say the Dline stinks. The online is in good shape though

thats about as poor logically as an argument can get.

dallas can ONLY judge itself based off it's board. Its the only board they have come draft day.
that is the ONLY justification for picks that matters.

dallas has actually proven quite a strong evaluator of talent in recent years.
feel free to lie to yourself if it makes you feel better, but it isnt going to win any arguments.

i wish we could get all you guys together to cry on each others shoulders.
just get a good cleansing cry before, you know, game 1....

oh yeah

PFF ranked all 30+ teams expected starting units player by player.
Our DL had 1 Elite(Ware), 2 High Qualities and 1 above average in Jay Ratliff.
I know Ratliff is out for 6 weeks but that's the highest rated DL in football.

Ware is our lone elite player (according to PFF!! not me).

To put that in perspective Dallas has 1 Elite and 5 High Quality(pro bowl) rated players.
Of the 6 guys at that level they have 3 on our DL.
And the MLB is another HQ.

I get that our DL is banged up right now bit it isn't really any weaker than the Giants DL, which features an injured JPP.

Also of note. PFF had 7 or 8 guys rank all the teams for pre-season.
DAL was no lower than 14th and as high as 9th.
For a team coming off an 8-8 showing I'd suggest that is a pretty positive pre-season rating.

The O line is a big question. Yet, with the passing attack, I believe we have a chance.

But our defense is a disaster waiting to happen. Jerra is in for a big shock this year. You don't half to belief me. but you will belief your eyes this season.

Pray for lots of Romo to Witten or Romo to Dez plays this season. That's the only whey to make up for our huge deficiencies in the defense.
