Did anyone else find Greg Olsen annoying?

Fox's new number one team is the worst of all networks. They should have given Aikman and Buck whatever they wanted.

Initially, I thought that Greg Olsen was a fairly good announcer, a new voice... seems pretty knowledgeable about football and all.

However, when he started ranting mid-game, that the Cowboys should go pass heavy for the rest of the game, I thought it was a foolish idea. The Cowboys have effectiveness in the passing game when their run game is making the defense load up in the box. Don't abandon the run game, ever!

He just kept making it a point, I found it to be annoying... anyone else think so?

Not really, then again I'm not paying much attention to him. I do find it interesting that people are so easily annoyed by these broadcast teams. really does not matter who is calling the game people are upset because they are not acting like they are part of the Cowboy broadcast. Maybe because they are not

I pretty much mute all announcers. I will listen to Buck/Aikman and I will listen to Romo.

I don't mind him. The announcers get paid to keep the games interesting and push certain story lines during the games. Generally, I watch the game and only listen to them when they are explaining what just happened during a particular event on the field. All the other commentary I dismiss as their opinions vs. mine. The media wants a storyline about the Eagles being the best team in football. and they may be right. They certainly have an all-star roster.

I also find that the ex-officials the networks use to voice opinions about turnovers and other close calls during the game tend to just corroborate what the announcers say about the play. It's like they take a hint from the announcers and then go along with it.

He was right. Running game wasn't doing anything. The passing game was working.

But if they had abandoned it completely the Eagles pass rush would have broken Dak in half. I mean on those last two drives that were pretty much all pass didn't the Eagles have like 3 of their 6 sacks? No imagine that during the whole game.. Do they get to 12 sacks? 15? Does Dak finish the game?

Give me old school announcers. The two I enjoyed most were Summerall and Tom Brookshier, in the 70's when CBS did NFC games; those two did almost all Cowboys games. They knew Tom Landry well. Pat and Tom on occasion were hysterically funny, dry humor.

He’s not a man’s man. Sorta effeminate and whiny. Also hates Dallas which doesn’t help. I despise the guy and haven’t listened to his commentary since mid-season. The fact that Fox passed up Moose for that guy is disgusting.

Fans always find announcers annoying if their comments don’t favor the Cowboys. The heck with objectivity they want everyone in the booth to cheerlead the team. Lol Everyone from Troy Aikman, to Tony Romo has received criticism here for saying something deemed negative about the Cowboys.

They only received criticism when they deserved it. ;)

I just looked at the game log and the Eagles got 4 of their 6 sacks on the Cowboys last three possessions. They were pretty much in pass every down mode on those drives. So Olsen's cry to "quit runnin the ball" was simply idiotic. Unless he was hoping for Dak to get hurt.

I call him Glen Campbell. If a biopic is ever made on his life, they should cast this guy to play him.

I did not agree with his point either and he did make a bit much of it.

I just wish they'd all quit SHOUTING. Akin to a DE prancing about every time a tackle is made. Pat and John gave an exciting call in a dignified manner (yes, I'm showing my age so GET OFF MY LAWN).

He has that combination of being very good at his job while being very annoying at doing it.

Just like Jason Garrett, although there may be some bias in that one.
