Did Manziel to Dallas just get closer to happening?

I mean it
JFF not only does not have the talent to play QB at a high level in the NFL but jerry will think of him as a future starter (preventing us from getting another qb) but would also take the distractions and media circus to a completely new level on a team that cannot manage the media attention it already gets

This would be disastrous

Not according to Broaddus and he is a former scout.

He decided to watch every snap of his this year and it completely changed his opinion of him. He went in with his mind makeup that he was a bust but was very surprised by his accuracy and arm strength and says he can absolutely play in the NFL and be effective.

None of that matters of course if he's a clown show off the field but to say he doesn't have the talent might not be valid.

Who really cares. None of these qbs are worth a top 10 pick. I'll wait until round 2 or 3.

I think so to, any other year with good crop of quarterbacks and these two would be Round 2 to 3 in the draft.

Supposedly Jackson insisted Johnny be gone if he took the gig.

JF has good potential but he is such a wildcard. If Jerry can't resist, the leash would have to be very very short.

What do we have to lose. Jerry ain't no idiot and you can bet that his contract to Johnny will be minimal, and have bonus incentives and disciplinary actions if he steps out of line. I think if he came to Dallas he would smarten up and finally figure it out it's really my last chance.

if you think none of them are worth anything then why waste a crucial 2nd and 3rd pick on them? .this is same stuff i heard last year with Winston and mariotta.

2016 Dallas Cowboys QB Depth Chart:
1. Tony Romo
2. Robert Griffin III
3. Johnny Manziel
4. Tim Tebow

The media wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

We had a RB by committee this year why not QB by committee. Defenses would be screwed.

The question is "talent to be what?"
People go into this evaluation expecting a complete train wreck and then say "he has the talent to play qb in the NFL"
I think he can be an adequate NFL qb as his cieling but that is not what we want
We need someone who can lead this team to a SB and j don't think JFF is that
The problem is that if he comes here, jerry will think he has his future qb

Lynch just by stature alone is similar to the other SB winning QB in the AFC North (Flacco) as well. The pre-draft process will tell the story. All about how these QB's are evaluated by everyone looking for one.

One can argue that Goff (6'4 210lbs) could be Hugh Jackson's choice because physically he is more like Andy Dalton (6,2 216lbs). Who knows...

agree with this,Lynch would be a better cold weather QB with those gigantic hands.

It's been a rough go for Manziel on and off the field even that water bottle he threw at a heckling fan was picked off.

Not a good run for Johhny even his blonde wig in Vegas was picked off.

I like neither QB I would rather they sign Matt Moore or Drew Stanton in FA. Winston and Mariotta were head over heals better than these two coming out of the draft.

are those guys really that much better than Weeden or Cassell? how many games do you envision us winning with those 2 if Romo goes down in week 1?

Cleveland is going to take Goff from us and Tenn takes Bosa :(

Lol Bosa and his whopping 5 sacks. Guy wouldnt even start in Dallas and people want him at 4?

WEAKNESSES: Not as quick as some of the NFL's elite edge rushers. Not a quick-twitch rusher and doesn't play with consistent explosion. Needs to improve his inside shoulder dip to leverage his body into blockers around the edge.

Room to improve his gap integrity and pre-snap anticipation. Will misread plays at times and crash down, leading him to be too reactionary on plays following a mistake, cautious of making another one.

Keep him far away from this defense

Not sure but I know if we had Stanton we would have for sure made the playoffs. He guided Arizona to 9 victories last year when Carson went down and I believe he would of gotten us a few wins.

Thinking that Manziel or RGIII are both a long ways from being on the Cowboys. Oh, no way Tennessee passes on Tunsell at OT, Cleveland might go Bosa and take a QB in the second which happens to be pick 32 this year. San Diego either goes Bosa if he is there or Stanley at OT, betting it is Stanley right now. Could go Ramsey at S though also. Goff probably falls to us but frankly hoping San Fran wants him so bad we trade down 3 spots and let him go to them, the kid has small hands compared to most QBs, not a good thing in the NFL.

The off the field things cloud it with Manziel.

The opposite is true for Griffin.

From ESPN:

NOT A LOT OF INTEREST IN JOHNNY FOOTBALL
31 of 32 NFL teams would have little or no interest in acquiring the Browns QB, according to NFL Nation reporters.

Any guess as to who the holdout is?

:(
