Did Romo Know It Was Fourth Down?... pics post#62

ugh...instead of *****ing and ****ing on the QB just because..... I'll answer the OP. i saw that too and I'm pretty sure romo was looking for a pass interference. most people would have thought it was automatic, thats why he was getting the team ready for another play then looked to the ref.

edit*** it's amazing that fans of all people would rather believe the QB...OUR QB...is incompetent enough to not realize it was 4th down, than looking for the right, or even another more plausible answer.

thanks...i had quit watching and wanted to know what other people thought.

I cant believe this actually making waves as true.

Galloway, choppy, fitzsimmons and tardo mosely are on 1033 laughing at romo and having a good old time running around the studio saying he is so bad he didnt know what down it was.

My question is, didnt they listen to the post game pc, romo said right out I thought there was P.I. and I think he was lobbying for it.

I cant believe mosely who's sole job is to cover this game doesnt know this. He is even dopier than I thought. Fits right in with the clowns at 103.3

glad i am out of town and not listening to dfw radio today !

I dunno theebs, they said Fox4 had video of Romo holding up three fingers after the play as if to tell the refs it was only third down. Maybe it will be on the news tonight.

Not that I think this is that big a deal anyway. It's not like Romo would've tried harder to complete the first two passes if he'd known he didn't have another down.

Well....after seeing that McFlabb didnt know that the first score wins the game in OT....being a vet and all...

anything is possiable :)
I still cannot understand how it was remotely possible for Flabby NOT to know that.

well that would suck. I just assumed that he was arguing because he said after the game that he thought their was contact both times.

I feel for him if that is the case, he will become the joke of the league, not that he isnt used to it.

Wait till talentless ricks with a P like mike florio find this out.

Yeah, but at some point they can only say so much more, you know? I figure at this point he's close to being written off completely by all those hacks.

Or holding up three fingers as a signal to the receivers what the next play call is going to be if the refs had thrown a flag.

Romo is DUMB. Of course he didn't know: not a surprise at all to me.

I thought he was lobbying for PI. I didn't notice anything else about it that was weird.

Maybe so... Personally I don't think this is a big deal even if he did get it wrong.

I still don't get why we didn't have mb3 run it in for a TD

What? How can it not be?

The supposed leader of the team not even know what is going on isn't a big deal?

This is the type of stuff people laugh at players like Jamarcus Russell for.

Inexcusable if he didn't know the down.

man up rkell...I've been an cowboys fan since 1978. they are my team but I'm done with Romo...you would be too if you had any sense..........he doesn't have it in him...never has.

and next year as soon as there is a whisper of felix getting hurt or he has two games in a row where he doesnt break off a 50 yarder im sure youll be done with him too...cause he will have "lost it" or whatever. i would have liked to hear what you said about aikman in 89 and 90.

everybody forgets how good a guy is as soon as they have a bad game or two. you really cant tell me a bad QB can go 13-3? you cant tell me the 16 others we have had since aikman could have put that season together? i suppose that was all T.O.? i suppose he threw the ball to himself too?

romo would have been league mvp that year had brady not put together that mircle he did. if he was mvp that year would people be sooooo ready to give up on him? do you give up on a young mvp caliber QB? maybe but damn sure not 1 1/4 seasons removed from that year.

my question though would be, why spike it on second down anyway, why not just run the play and not give the Broncos a chance to set up.

They had to because this team takes twenty minutes to line up.
Exactly.

I watched the Colts in the hurry-up offense yesterday. They take very few seconds getting their whole team downfield, lined up, and ready to go.

It takes Flozell Adams and Andre Gurode forever just to get in their stance.

Duh? Both of them are doing 360's looking for yellow laundry on the field before they line up.

This team frequently doesn't even get set until there's only 7 or 8 seconds on the playclock.

Either our players are idiots trying to figure out the call, or the guy making the call is taking forever to make a decision. Either way, I think it adds to the chaos that is already Tony Romo.
