Yes they did. So we come back in round 2 and take a pass catching TE not half as talented.

ESPN just called him a pass catcher. If they wanted a blocker, Washington should have been the pickHe is a blocking tight end the opposite archetype of Kincaid
Yea I thought Washington would be the pick if they went with a tight end.ESPN just called him a pass catcher. If they wanted a blocker, Washington should have been the pick
Dallascowboys.com said he was the highest graded TE left. There is also a bunch of TEs still on the board.
Could very well end up with one of the top ones still.
Apparently the cowboys consider TE Schoonmaker a better blocker than Washington according to the guys at dallascowboys.com. they were also talking about his style, the tenacity and the nastiness in how he was used in Michigan, being a much tougher program.ESPN just called him a pass catcher. They are loons. UGA is the toughest and most competitive program in the country. Washington was underutilized as mostly a blockingTE. I honestly think the cowboys have a lot of big 10 scouts and nobody in the SEC.Apparently the cowboys consider TE Schoonmaker a better blocker than Washington according to the guys at dallascowboys.com. they were also talking about his style, the tenacity and the nastiness in how he was used in Michigan, being a much tougher program.
Personally, I don't know anything about Schoon other than what the guys at dallascowboys.com said but considering where he came from and his style, picking him with 2nd pick doesn't mean we would of used a 1st on a TE, especially when the 1st round pick would of been a guy with a complete different style.
Ok. Yeah. As I said, not familiar with the guy and considering the best player charts, would of thought Washington would of been the pick.Wow

Bet Jerry looked unhappy when we *didn't* draft Manziel but got the GOAT G.If Jerry is unhappy, that's a good thing. Looks like the football guys are starting to win out. If they can keep Jerry from drafting the next rap star in the 2nd round, then we're truly changing the culture here.
The Bills knew Kincaid was the Cowboys target, and the faces in the Cowboys war room confirmed it. Even saw Mccarthy looking animated and irritated after the Bills selection. I think Mazi was the fallback option.Seems like every year teams are jumping up in front of us to take our top guy.
Now I’m happy with smith but I wonder if dalton was the pick…
But it definitely seems like every team in the nfl knows who we’re picking for some reason…
NO in that case, we would have kept Dalton.Had Ferguson not shown anything we would have for sure taken a tight end imo
right, hes dalton shcultz with better blocking. Why not? i mean on a rookie deal vs a vet LTD?? not sure why fans hate this pick.Washington had medical red flags and is still available now.
Schoonmaker was the 2nd best blocking TE in the draft and has safe hands and is a good route runner.
Cowboys TE coach was on local sports talk radio after the pick.ESPN just called him a pass catcher. If they wanted a blocker, Washington should have been the pick
