Did we just see a transition from Barber to Jones as starter?

Watching the AZ/GB game and how AZ just scored their first TD got me thinking.

How about in short yardage and goal line we put Free at RT and put Colombo at the full back position? He's mean and nasty and giving him a couple steps of steam to lay the wood would seem to work in my mind. We got options there and Free makes that possible.

That sounds like a good idea but Free sees to be the most athletic so he should be at FB instead of Columbo, or put Free at TE.

watch it. as they are talking about him the sideline guy asks him something and he goes IM FINE IM FINE look at him.

He goes i dont know...just watch it.

All you have to do is watch it at 3 minutes 35 seconds and watch the report and look at barber say IM FINE IM FINE...I dont know why.... thewn just before the camera pans away he curses ****...

he just didnt have it last night.

3:35 when? 1st, 2nd, 3rd qtr? I have it recorded and I'll see if I can post a video of it for everyone to see

i think so, but that is where Barber is best as a second back

He's not paid as a #2.

That's the problem.

And that's what will lead to his departure from the team.

IMO...

It will go back to running back by rotation when Barber is healthy. Or we could see more Choice. I don't think they'll run Felix more than 15, 16 carries a game.

thats what I have been saying all year. I dont think he will be back.

Was Barber benched?

You don't think Wade is playing Mike Keenan(NHL ) like mind games with MB3 do you? to fire him up?

Oh Wade...how I will bow to your shoelaces if you did that !!! and watch this kid explode in his old school hometown - has me wondering.

This was about winning a playoff and who gives the best chance for success.
The 75 yard run for a postseason record did it for me. Rotation works awesome.
The opponents don't know whats comin

Felix needs to be the starter, no doubt. Barber was always much more effective coming of the bench fresh and mauling guys in short yardage situations and late in the game.

With Choice probably being out next week we'll need Barber to resume that role. Hopefully he'll be healthy enough to do so.

Barbers presence and style of running contributes nothing to the greatness of Felix the Cat.
Only Felix is essential.
Don't see how they keep Barber.

Fixed that for you.

You're welcome!

This......

While I think it's best to have three good RBs, like we currently do, it won't last with these three. The problem is that Barbar makes Big Time starter money, Felix gets 1st Rd money and will be coming up on his 2nd contract soon enough, same with TChoice, who will probably be coming up sooner because of where he was drafted. Once Choice reaches his second contract, teams are going to sign him as a starter because he's got the potential to be a carry the load back.

We are going to have to make some decisions on these backs and I, for one, would rather see us trade rather then just let them walk. Not a popular position I'm sure but that's how I see it as well Michael.

Wade is pushing a lot of right buttons lately. I was cursing the TV last night for wasting a challenge when he challenged the INT. Oops -- great call Wade. :)

If Wade had a say in Barber's benching and he actually has the ming-game-playing ability in him, it potentially adds another tick to the chart of things he's doing right.

Barber's biggest problem is that he is badly banged up. At this point Felix is the better back. If MB3 was healthy he's still a very good player, but since he isn't he should be used sparingly until he's healthy enough to be effective again.

As Ric Flair said it best:

"To be the best, you have to beat the best".

Felix Jones!

Woooooooooo!

And now, we go to school.

watch how he played. he didnt hit the holes on ANY of his three runs (he blundered into it on the first run)

maybe he pulled himself but its evident his mind wasnt quick enough to hit the holes and he wasnt playing well.

whether it was him pulling himself or garrett you watch the tape. on the 2nd and 16 for the draw he has a MASSIVE hole to his right and he stutter steps instead of sprinting right into it to gain 5 or 6. and he just dives into the middle and gets tackled.

maybe it is just barber. either way he was less than impressive.

Yes. A hurt player might do just that.

But he's got to get through more of his contract then, since you're correct that he's not paid like a 2.

Barber is a Cowboy for at least a couple more years (barring collective bargaining weirdness).

Where are the Felix Jones doubters now? I can't hear yall.

I said this team wouldn't be a championship caliber team until Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, and Anthony Spencer become great. Look out! Greg Ellis and Pacrat and Anthony Henry held Mike Jenkins back last year. Mike Jenkins is one of the top 5 best CBs in the NFL right now, imo. He's a flat out stud. Who told you Jenkins was better than Scandrick last year. Oh, yeah. That was me. Now, Felix is getting the rock, and you see the results. Miles Austin was held back last year, too. He's a flat out stud. Roy Williams helped us out last night, too. Plus, he hurt the Eagles in the first game.

Great job, Jason Garrett.

Tecmo Bowl is dead!

I told you Felix Jones would pop one if he keeps getting the rock.

Great job running those screens to the Cat and and the WRs, too.

They did rob the Cat of a 20 yard run in the 24-0 game.

Hey, Philadelphia. I'll send you off like the Midgets or "Giants".

Have a nice, long, cold, miserable winter.

1-800-SEEYA!

Thanks for the trade!

Thanks for Anthony Spencer and Felix Jones.

Did you enjoy Spencer destroying your team last night in the playoffs?

I did.

Let's trade some more.
