He says that he has a nickname for Roy Williams........"Pump-Fake"........Keyshawn is so filled with envy that it's not even funny.......Parcells just looked at him like he wanted to pop him upside his head......

Butterfingers Keyshawn who lost to Dallas 35-14 and stunk big when Carolina needed him. Getting spanked on 35 unanswered points.

I grew up in SW La. I am a coon *** 100% My family is 100% french descendants and the term coon *** is not a deragatory term. My family of cajuns and creoles refer to ourselves as coonasses. It is a term of endearment. I have nothing to be ashamed of.

When Nick SAban used the term the media got all over him but in reality, SW La creoles, Of which I am one, understood it. It was the media that over-reacted.

So apparenly I do understand the significance of the word. Would you like my Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo recipe to prove my birthright....

Socioeconomic factors appear to influence how Cajuns are likely to view the term: working-class Cajuns tend to regard the word "coonass" as a badge of ethnic pride; whereas middle- and upper-class Cajuns are more likely to regard the term as insulting or degrading, even when used by fellow Cajuns in reference to themselves.

IR, I could swear you've been one of the ones to (correctly) point out that once you get past your starters and maybe a top backup, the rest of your roster must be good special teams players. And Aaron Glenn did nothing there.

Personaly, I think Reeves has done better as that spot starter -- or more than a spot starter, considering it's been 11 games now -- than Glenn would have. So I still have no problem with what they did.

I tell you, I would much rather have Aaron Glenn's anticipation and closing burst on the outside defending those deep comebacks that have murdered us all year long. No matter how you feel about Reeves' contribution, and it's value, I think you have to seriously question cutting Aaron Glenn. Did it help us? I can't see how. Did it hurt us? Unquestionably, IMO.

I thought Irvin was great. He actually had an alternative perspective and didn't just repeat what everyone else had to say. Irvin also had great interviews since he was close to many players.

Keyshawn and Emmitt on the other hand need to go after this season. The only insightful thing I have heard Emmitt say was about how Adrian Peterson needs to learn how to fall. Other than that, it's just been a mess.

And Keyshawn thinks he's such a genius. Did anyone see that interview with Chad Johnson that he did? Keyshawn thought he was some hard-hitting journalist asking tough questions. :lmao2:After the interview, the audience did not learn anything new.

well I guess I will have to defer to the Cajun expert from Heartland Texas because being born and raised in a middle to upper income family in the heart of Cajun Country and being 100% cajun doesnt allow me to have any first hand knowledge of the situation. We should all know that somebody that lives almost 400 miles away from Cajun Country would have a lot more knowledge about the situation that somebody that lived there for 35 yrs.

IMO, the only thing that it has really done is to allow Reeves to gain more game experience on the outside which could help him in his over-all understanding of the position. However, we would be better at the CB position with Glenn.

Like I said, it's nothing to be proud of, so by trying to justify it with a fragile attempt of disclosing your families educational background to validate your point does not impress me.

I never liked the decision to cut Glenn and have said so many times and it is not any slight on Reeves at all it is in respect to Jones. I don't see how you ever keep a third year player that has shown very little over a vet like Glenn.

I bet you that if Wade had it to do over knowing the passing attacks of Green Bay and NE he would not do the same thing!

I was holding to the idea that after Glenn was cut that maybe the Cowboys were going after a FA or were going to make a trade. To my dismay, it never happened. I came to the conclusion that Wade must be satisfied with Alan Ball and Quincy Butler; along with Reeves and Jones.

Holy smokes. I remember that time in Orlando. I was getting back from Disney with my family when I saw Emmitt talking to two buck teethed blondes. He was feeling sorry for them cause the restaurant wouldn't let them in wearing masks ... little did the restaurant know they weren't wearing masks.

Emmitt was being polite and these two giggling hens thought he was trying to pick them up.

I love stories ... especially when told third hand.

LOL, no that wasn't my kid for sure but I do remember her telling me she saw two girls like that. They both had Cowboy Jersey on so that may explain why Emmit felt sorry them and gave them some attention . Can't see Emmit givng two bird pointers the time of day tho in any color uniform. Other than that, the PIG (as my wife would describe him) was just trying to hustle a couple of pretty girls and thought his ring would make them forget he was married....

I don't know much about the term but it sounds to me like it is exactly like the African American slur which some African Americans might use towards each other and others may be offended by if used at each other. Is it really any different?

And I am really asking the question.

Maybe I am wrong about this but Favre has not always been faithful to his wife has he? It seems I have heard stories to the contrary.

If so, then you coming over here and bashing Emmitt is kinda funny I would say! Or is he just a pig because it was your daughter?

Not trying to impress you, just trying to educate you on something that you obviously don't know nothing about because you carry it like a badge on your chest. FYI, the origin of the word is "Conasse" which transforms to "stupid person" or "dirty prostitute". I bet you even have a bumper sticker on your swamp mobile don't you. Learn your heritage, or at least teach it to your 28 year old daughter so that she won't have her children walking around with a "coonass" T-Shirt. The funny thing is that you try to justify it by saying it's acceptable usage "with your family". I guarantee that if you were to use the word around other fellow Creoles or Cajuns they would feel disrespected. Like I said the word is a contrast to that word that is used by African Americans. That is how bad many Creoles detest it.
