Did you guys notice Roy Williams on nickle packages?

Wrong, that pass was against Burnett. Roy was lined up at the RIGHT nickel linebacker spot. Bruce (who caught the pass, not Holt) was lined up on the defense's LEFT side, in the slot. Burnett was the nickel linebacker on that side. Bruce ran the slant outside Burnett, who got there too late. Roy ran over from his spot on the other side of the defense and made a diving tackle, which might have saved a touchdown. Roy had nothing to do with covering Bruce on that play.

Who was the CB against Bruce on that play, anyone know??

Roy was very quiet in that Rams game, and I thought that was exactly what some fans were wanting. Remember? Soem of you primarily wanted a guy who covered his man and zone so well that you never even heard his name...

I think Roy has been playing very well. He's had a few well-documented mistakes (and I still hate that his mistakes seem to get magnified more than others), but he has really been solid. Actually, I think the whole secondary has been playing pretty well the last few weeks.

I know that people like to argue that Dallas hasn't played a great offense, but all you can do is stop the guys you're playing. Dallas has done that the last few weeks.

Pretty much known that I'm not a big fan of Roy, but I am a huge fan of moving him to LB in the nickel package. One of the best moves Wade has made since joining the team really.

Doesn't matter, it was zone coverage. Burnett didn't get into his zone and that's why the pass was complete.

You probably couldn't tell from the camera angle, but other than the dime packages, we played two deep safeties all game long.
Rewind your Tivo, Bro
That is an inaacurate statement. Even by watching your TV you could see that they played cover 3 or man-free out of a roll to 3 shell look occassionally. Our safeties move on motion and change of passing strength based on the formation all of the time beacuse they route read this year, as opposed to playing set zones like last year. Wade talks about it all of the time in his Press Conference.

Better luck next time, buddy.

I was at the game. You couldn't see nearly as much as I did from your Tivo replay. Sorry, pal.

And by "two deep safeties" I didn't necessarily mean Cover 2. I meant that both safeties lined up deep before the snap. Of course we change up coverage.

Then that really makes you look even dumber than before. Nice assumption that i wasn't at the game either.
Check your facts, before you post crap.

Ahh...someone got their feelings hurt.

I'm still waiting for a smart Offensive Coordinator to move a TE or slot reciver over so Roy is forced to cover him when Roy plays LB on passing downs. Then it will be same ol roy

But for now it seems to be working.

Roy has covered WRs out wide 1-on-1 this season.

So, Champ. You don't admit when you're wrong? Nice...
No, I wasn't wrong. We played both safeties deep before the snap an unusually high amount during the game. This is why people didn't see Roy up close to the LOS helping out on the running game.

That it simply NOT TRUE. I see it at the game and on TV.

I don't think he has problems with TE's as long as they aren't named Shockey...
