What do they have to do differently?

Unfortunately for us, nothing.

They will not admit they need to do anything but wait. They had just a good enough season to validate their way is the way.

As long as this team is run from an ego gratifying position, little will change. Ego enables one to seem closer than how far away.

As always you either didn't read the post or you were not able to understand it. But thats ok I know certain posters need to come on here showing they know more than everyone else or just need attention. So i will take the time to break it down for you.
1) I did not say I wanted to resign Elliott. Knowing the Jones past with players and the fact they said they did wanted to keep Zeke they would have to restructure his contract. You do know if we release him he still counts against the cap the next 2 years if he is a June 1 cut?
2) Also said there is a SALARY CAP but you should know better that with restructures if you want to free up money you can. The moves I brought up would definitely take up cap space but would make the team much better without an all in for one year approach.
You said point blank you wanted to resign him.

Don’t back track now.

You wanted resign everyone and then sign everyone. Lol

I know this is not gonna be a positive take here but I do believe we take a different approach this year. I would like to see the following happen and I believe I will not be to far off.
We will resign Donovan Wilson, LVE, Fowler, Hankins, TY, Peters and do a new contract with Tyron Smith and Elliot. We are going to sign a 5 year contract with Dak that takes pressure off this year and the Jones boys will not let go of him.
As far as Free Agency goes we will go out and get a very good Vet WR and DT. I feel we roll with Diggs, Bland and Lewis at the CB spots we will be strong at S and LB with Clark and Cox a year away from surgery. When the draft rolls along we can than go WR, OL, or BPA and we should be good heading into next year.
I know this isnt Madden and we have a salary cap but we can kick that can a bit without going all the way in and be screwed for years.
The Vet WR like an OBJ will make a big difference short term and not break the bank. A difference maker at DT will cost us but not to the point we are doomed after this year. If Dak is protected and we have that defense playing like it did in Frisco as long as we stay healthy we will be a tough out.
do you work for Jerry's PR department by any chance? damage control? given you are very new and have no other posts....... kind of what Russian social media team does....Jerry learns quick.

I do t get why everyone wants to pile on MM. Dak, the coach killer is the player throwing multiple INT games. You KNOW MM isn’t going to be coaching Dak by saying hey throw us two picks per game just to keep it interesting.
MM is supposed to be the QB Whisperer. Supposed to be the great offensive mind.

Coaching is a job too. They don't just get to say "Well I *told* him to play great! Don't blame me!"

You own a restaurant and you haven’t been to it in months, you finally go in and it’s a mess. Tables are dirty, food taking too long to get out, waiters are rude to customers, foods not tasting right. You have time to have only 1 conversation, who are you talking to to figure out what’s going on, the dishwasher or the manager?

Your going to talk to who in charge because the manager is responsible for all that happens. The Joneses are responsible for all the failures we’ve had over these 28 years.
You go in that place and see someone peeing in the clam bisque, and you still blame the guy doing the peeing. Obviously the guy who hire him failed as well.

I wish I worked for Jerry. I usually avoid posting due to the ignorance of most posters on here but otherwise all good.

I'm fine breaking the bank on a receiver if he proves he is worth it. So saying OBJ make it incentive based, if he wants to be highly paid, go earn it Dak needs help, biggest weakness on the team at the moment.

Next year will be no different. Why some fans continue to think JJ is going to magically start doing things differently then what he has did over the past 28 seasons is beyond me. Sure a few names will change just as they do every year but besides that Dallas is still ran by Jerry Jones and it's going to continue to be done the same way it has been for over a quarter of a century.
No, mate, yoh have to believe!!!

I think you're failing to grasp the ingenious nature of Jerry and Stephen's 30-year plan, as we enter year 28.

Year 28 - NFCCG appearance
Year 29 - SB appearance
Year 30 - Lombardi

I see this as NFC Championship appearance at least. If not, new coach, new QB. It is time for Dallas to take next step. I want an aggressive win now approach. I don't care about the future. If Jerry is not aggressive this off season, we will never get another Superbowl or come any closer under him.

Can not beat 4 consecutive playoff teams?

What???????

SMH
In order to win a SB that is what it will take.
Dak Prescott to beat 4 consecutive playoff coaching staffs, playoff QBs and playoff defenses.

IF you are confident in the past 7 years of this guy's inconsistent play in order to achieve that, more power to you.

Shaking MY head is right.

No coaching change,playcalling/scheme or personnel support can overcome the inability to make the right decisions with the ball in his hand.

Adjust your Dak watching lenses, they need a new prescription if you believe otherwise.

I think Tyron is worth the risk. His salary has both upside and downside.

But signing Elliot isn't a risk of mediocrity, it's a certainty of it.
Just move on already. He is done.
Agree. This is a seriously deep RB draft class and Zeke is cooked.

I feel confident that we can count on this FO to avoid going "all-in" by investing generously in vet free agents. Let's hope what little we'll do in that respect has a positive influence upon our upcoming season. I don't see an especially promising playoff scenario this year any more than last year.
If there's one thing this FO has proven over time, it's that they'll continue having successful regular seasons without much playoff success, if any.
