Nobody. And this is where the division comes from….people create these narratives that don’t exist….
But there is literally a 30+ page thread on the first page of this forum that says it'll probably be 10+ years before the Cowboys break .500 without Dak.

Isn't that the point of the pro Dak crowd is that it's such a high risk in changing QBs that you have to pay Dak to avoid possibly missing the playoffs? If not I'm confused and need to go back to square one on this issue.

This is the exact Dak thread we get. Creating a division among this fanbase. Nobody has ever said give Dak what he wants as a matter of fact some posters like AC has said Dak should take a pay cut.
AC has been very clear about wanting Dak to take a pay cut. During Dak's current contract negotiations, AC didn't want him to break the bank either...and AC is about the biggest Dak fan on this board.

it says possible and sure i think thats a little overboard even for this FO trying to find another QB...but is it possible we go through several QB's before we find one that can play as well as Dak..yeah it is. The OP is making it seem like only one side has big hyperbole going when clearly both sides can greatly bend logic trying to make a point for their side.

so your saying that it isnt possible for THIS FO to have problems finding a QB that plays as well as Dak....is 10 to 15 years unlikley sure..but should we go back through the QB's this GM has wanted to draft over the last 15 years?

and would this be condiered bigger hyperbole than "Cooper Rush could win the same amount of games if he started all of them"...the OP could've just said "Both sides come to the table with some huge holes in logic to make a point"

Ill agree with you on the second half of that statement, this is not a one sided issue. The extremes on both sides are to blame and basically use the same tactics to attack each other.

Read and understand his scouting report.
What does inconsistent accuracy mean?

It means in game situations, under pressure, maybe 1 out of 6 throws is off target. In the nfl, that doesn't work.

Like balls flying over receivers heads when wide open deep middle?
How about sideline throw sailing way over the receivers head?
How about a simple toss to a RB beyond his reach?

Every one of those passes should bring back horrible memories.
Thats inconsistent accuracy and it won't get u to a super bowl in the NFL.

Roger was immediately replaced by Danny White ........ Danny White was gone one year when they drafted Troy .......after Troy they got Romo in free agency 3 years later ....... Romo was still starting when they got Dak

and this argument could work if he didnt have 8 seasons (yeah i get injuries shorten it but not to 1 year) of COMP% to go off of..is he the only QB in history that gets lucky that long that his comp% is one of the best in the league for well over 5 years? come on man..he fails in the playoffs with the rest of the team..thats a fact, the rest of this is just not a fact.

It’s not about Dak though it’s more so lacking faith this front office can find another guy when they’ve failed nearly every time. If McClay was making the decision I’d have a little comfort. But if it’s the guy that wanted Paxton Lynch and Johnny Football? Or the one who let Clint Stoerner, Quincy Carter and Ryan Leaf start for him? A little less comforting.

Rockport speaks for himself not the whole Dak pro crowd.

I'm all with you on lacking faith in the front office, just for different reasons. I also agree that this really isn't a Dak issue at the core, but that's why I'm OK with moving on too.

I've never really understood the Johnny Football or Paxton Lynch stories though.... Do we continue to ridicule Andy Reed for wanting to trade up for Paxton Lynch? I'm sure that Jerry wanted to draft Andrew Luck and Joe Burrow too, but was never in position to get those guys. Why do we care more about the players they didn't draft rather than the ones they did?

The post Aikman era was embarrassing, but this is a different era. I think it's significantly easier to find at least adequate QB play and win with subpar talent at QB. SF is a prime example IMO. Nothing against Brock Purdy but I don't view him as an elite QB, he's a solid player with a great team around him. Great teams tend to be able to make the post season with bad QBs. Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Tampa all made it last year. I'd even argue the Lions are a great example with Goff as his career was basically on life support that first year in Detroit, but he's a top guy now that they've improved that roster.

ok so this FO went after Romo or got lucky? this FO wanted Dak or once again got lucky when not even wanting him..the 3 they wanted before him are not in the NFL now..again he isnt saying its a givin he said its possible..is he overboard with the 10 to 15 years..sure, but its very possible this GM picks several QB's that dont work out..

Ultimately the pro Dak crowd is viewed as Dak fans over Cowboy fans leaving them blinded by their fandom. The Anti Dak crowd are viewed as haters who hate the man on a personal level.

I wish people would realize the real issue with the Dak debate isn't Dak at all, but the front office that's pulling the strings. We care about if Dak is resigned or not, but not the strategy behind it. The fact that we haven't even had active talks between the Cowboys and Dak, meanwhile Stephen continues to talk about getting a deal done in camp is completely inexcusable, should be embarrassing for fans, and is nothing more than ownership using cap restraints as an excuse to not spend money in free agency when they have multiple solutions to that issue.
Who has attacked Dak on a personal level? The anti-Dak crowd, and I have no problem admitting I am one of them, doesn't like his performance on the field. Period. As far as I have seen, NO ONE attacks him personally, except for his perceived level of greed.

Well I would argue that the pro Dak crowd that is truly an issue are the few people on the extreme end of the spectrum. I think that's also true for the Anti Dak crowd as well. 90% of fans I think are more aligned on the subject than they realize.
i agree and whats wrong with the facts..pro Dak has been a very good QB for most regular season games, con Dak has had very bad failures in the playoffs..neither of those are soley a Dak good or bad as the team has done the same for 28 years. Nothing wrong with the facts people that want to move on i get why, people that say Dak isnt the problem i get that also...people saying the other useless dribble that go against facts are just putting mud in the water.
