I posted this last year and someone swore I was lying, I havent paid for the ST in 6 years or so. When you call you have to talk to the retention department.

anyone who pays full price for sunday ticket literally lives under a rock. man up and threaten to cancel and you'll be surprised what you get

This is ALWAYS disclosed with the customer when they sign up. The first year's pricing is promotional and is disclosed when you sign up. Most customers get used to that price over the first 12 months and conveniently forget that promo price and claim their being "gouged" when their programming goes back to standard price.

True just wanted to make sure that the price will go up. People forget that. Anyway, I bundle all of my tv, phone, cell phone with AT&T and save about $77. I did change my internet to AT&T but they could not get it on my bundle bill as they said it had to be separately. U-verse was not in my area yet and they wanted me to switch from Dish to Direct TV. Dish use to be with AT&T several years ago when I signed up. I usually tell Dish that I am thinking about switching to Direct TV because of the bundle discount I can get and they reduce my rate several times.

I refuse to bundle and get trapped by any company. The initial deal is good but then you are often locked into one service or the other and end up paying more for the others. Cable/satellite companies also understand that we are basically lazy and all too often do not call to get the best deal available.

If you must have a landline then get VOIP which can run as little as $9 per month! If you don't need a landline just just live off your cellphone and save those money.

If you are in a place where you have several options for internet service then there's absolutely no reason why you don't play them off each other and simply change service unless they will give you a good deal. Unfortunately, not everyone lives in an area where they have choices. Sorry.

In terms of TV....That's personal preference. I choose to watch the games online or Buffalo Wild Wings. I get HD antenna and Roku box. Don't miss TV at all now and saves $70-100 per month! Some of you should try it. Worst case scenario.... tough it out for a few months and sign up as a new customer and get all the new customers perks such as new equipment, rates and Sunday ticket!

horrible, I had it. Just for the ticket, got rid of it in less than a month.

Yep I used to have it. It could have been how mine was positioned or the part of the sky it was facing but rain storms usually equaled loss of signal. Never failed. I enjoy Dish Network much better.

Hurricane Isaac's eye passed over my house in 2012 and I never lost my directv signal through the storm.

TV is dead. Soon everyone will be watching over computers. So much cheaper

So do you know how to watch all the Cowboys games on a computer for cheaper than the $300 a month for Sunday Ticket Max?

NFL sunday ticket isn't so bad since every week Dallas is usually on TV.

I also love NFL redzone by the way. Great for fantasy football.

Oh, those lucky few.

Saw something that estimated 96% of the US has 2 or fewer options.

I'll sign into netflix or Amazon Prime every now and then but I don't miss TV either. You should check out XBMC. It's a little weird to get setup but afterward it's got everything you could ever want to watch.

$300 a month? What you talkin' about Willis?

That's the price of Sunday Ticket Max, the mobile version of Sunday Ticket for people who can't subscribe for DirecTV. I got it two years ago when it was on sale for $250 but I only ended up watching a few games on it since the Cowboys were on TV for like 11 games that year on local Miami television. But I'm moving to Seattle and I won't have a TV so I have to watch every game on my computer. But not sure if it's worth forking out $300. I could also do NFL Rewind for $30 and watch all the games the next day.

I paid for the online version a couple years ago.

Not $300 per month, though.

Back in the 90's I had DirecTV (kinda)...I paid $40 to get the card that they used to use "programmed" to get every single channel that there was at the time, including ALL of the pay channels...THAT was good times....once they went with the newer models, that "deal" went away....as to the signal going out, I live in NE Penna and the signal only went out 2 or 3 times in all of the years that I had it....now, more than half of Cowboy games are televised nationally but when they aren't on locally, I just find it on my PC somewhere....it isn't the same as watching it on a nice TV, but I still can watch them...

You would think they would catch on by now, but yeah I've had success with this in the past.

I watch it free through gamepass.nfl.com

I posted a guide a while back.

You must already have DirecTV or something.
Directv is charging certain customers, subscribing to Sunday Ticket Max, $1,800 a season, atop their regular programming package prices? I find that highly unlikely.

They just came and hooked mine up on Saturday. I'm looking forward to the Sunday ticket.

My girlfriend had it when she first got directTV. The thing you have to remember, at least from her experience with it, is to remember to call and let them know you want Sunday Ticket Canceled at the end of the 2014 season. She said you had to call and let them know that about a month before it actually ends because if you forget to they'll automatically re-up you for next season and charge for you it and it's not real cheap.
