This gonna tick off a bunch of anti-DLaw zoners. Thank you for posting it.

5 sacks that was it, I really do not give a damn about some dumbars list fact is his job is to get after the QB in 2017 he did, in 2018 he did. In 2019 he put up 5 friken sacks. I big part of the job is getting after the QB and he used those numbers from 2017 and 2018 to get the highest pay of any DE in the NFL and gets 5 sacks. You may be impressed by his play but in all the years of watching this game I know piss poor play when I see it and do not need some lame list to tell me that he had a great season. His tackles were down, his sacks were down only thing that rose was his pay at 21 million last year.

He held out to get a deal and Jerry paid him was that Jerry fault? sure, no doubt Jerry would have caught hell had he not signed Lawrence given the fact that he was in double digit sack the 2 season prior. Add to that Lawrence knowing he needed shoulder surgery waits to the last second to get it done. As for lack of DT it did not slow down Quinn DLaw problem was his play not anyone else. Frustrating part is knowing a player is capable of great play then seeing him play piss poor all the while jawing week in and week out yet never backing it up with the play.
DL had better light it up this season or I look to get rid of him any way possible.

Ridiculous. Lawrence played the entire season in 2018 with the injury and was going to do it again in 2019. He should have been immediately shipped out of Dallas.

Jerry should've told him to go F himself. But you know how much he loves a war daddy!

He is never in contention to lead the league in sacks. Ok for a few weeks yea but that goes away quickly as others outpace him. Look they made a mistake paying a guy that much who is always injured to a degree that down the stretch it affects his performance. By the time playoffs roll around we always hear his shoulders are bad. He's a really good DE making elite money. That's part of our problem here.

This makes it even worse!

this notion he did not play poor is too funny, when people talk about the greats to play along the DL, guys like Randy White they don't say well he stopped the run, he stopped the run and he punished QB that is the job it is to penetrate and get after the QB. Almost does not mean jack. Damn is not that hard to figure out, guys like Aaron Donald are putting up double digit sacks almost yearly, he got paid and he continued to produce. I don't hate Lawrence but damn right I expect more from a guy who is taking up a big portion of the cap. He wanted it, he got it, now damn it earn it

Now this is an emotional diatribe.

Facts be damn, all that matters is my feelings!

His play is fine, his off-field persona is annoying and unnecessary.

You want a fact 5 sacks on the season that is piss poor for a DE. Explain he goes from double digits in 2017 and 2018 and gets as many sacks as Taco Charlton did in less snaps?

Another fact he had way fewer tackles this past season. Maybe you felt his play was outstanding and he played as a top 5. I don't and it is not about emotion it about making plays and his number were way off compared to the past 2 season. I'm sure the Cowboys were not hoping for this when they handed him the contract

Got-paid-it is. Who didn't see this coming? Dude waited until he got his contract before he had the surgery he needed.
Can't really be too hard on him for that, though. We all would have done the same thing.
Not performing after getting paid speaks to either a0 he doesn't care or b) he just plain isn't that good.

One side effect of that disease got-paid-itis is that players rarely, if ever, get suspended for doing drugs or stupid stuff after they get the big contract. Highly unlikely that Elliott will be acting like an idiot now that a suspension will cost some serious coin and may lead to a contract void. Same with Tank. So money somehow cures that.

I wonder how much of it was due to getting surgery late and not being ready when the season started
Hopefully Nolan and MM can fix a lot of the motivation issues on this team
I hope you are correct, or we bought a bag of goods gone bad.

Guys for me this is not about hating on a player. I expect big play out of top players. I know what DLaw is capable of he has shown it before it is about playing to a high consistent level and when I see a player whom I know has talent not playing up to that high standard that only top players are expected to produce then it does lead to questions of why.

I hope to see him go out in 2020 and play to the level that all of us should expect.

Holding out is one thing, but if a player holds you hostage with an injury it's time to move on.

One of the most unlikable players on the team. I don't know how anyone can like this guy after the stunt he pulled to get his contract.

Stunt? it's called using what you got in negotiations. You think the team wouldn't have strong-armed him if they had the chance? Zeke and Tank cashed in the same way, which is having the team rely heavily on them with almost zero talent support to lighten their load. So they wanted to be paid like it and used the Cowboys-created leverage to do so. Might not make regular football slobs "comfortable," but multimillionaires don't spend time worrying about piker fans' comfort.

When NFL Network swoops in to approach you about doing a show called A Football Life: A CowboysZone Poster, are you going to just accept their first offer or will you use the leverage of your 95K+ likes to negotiate a better deal?

I can’t remember when we started this trend.

We want Jerry to pay and keep guys, then once they’re paid, we hate them regardless if they start the year off shoulder surgery earlier than expected.

Strange how the hardest working players on this team gets the most flack (Lee, Lawrence, Heath)
