I wonder if when we beat the Packers if Dak will slap the belt around his waist. I bet if he did, he would be torn to shreds in the media for disrespecting a veteran, even though every bum we have played this year has mocked Zeke.

I don't think we'll find out. Dak doesn't seem like a guy to get caught up on distractions.

It isn't disrespect. It's more about who is hot right now. Green Bay and Atlanta are the two hottest teams in the NFC at this time (The pack may be the hottest team in all of football right now). The Giants have beaten Dallas twice. The only when I don't get is Seattle. But, I guess with that defense, it's hard to write them off. Dallas, meanwhile, has lost two of his last three. Granted, one was a game for the main objective was to get out of the game healthy, with winning secondary.

I'm not saying I agree with the assessment, but I can certainly understand how one could come to that. Either way, it's not disrespect in the least.

I understand why people wouldn't pick Dallas. Let's be honest here. This is a very young team. I think people have a hard time getting behind such a young team. There's a reason why no team lead with a rookie QB has ever won a Super Bowl ring.

Agreed. the whole disrespect thing is beyond silly.

If anything not predicted the Pats or the Packers or the Seahawks is disrespectful. They've been there, done that. We've got tons to prove.

A prediction is just a prediction.

We have come further than anyone dreamed. I think most feel the rookies and defense will struggle in the playoffs. They look at Dak for all his rookie success, but it's hard to think Eli and Wilson with their superior defenses, and Ryan and Rodgers with their experience and hot offenses, won't outduel him.

I feel the first playoff game will be the most challenging, not due to opponents, but getting a feel for postseason football. Anyone in the playoffs can defeat us, but if we can get the first game under our belts, I like keour chances in the NFC game.

lost to a mediocre eagles team, with wentz playing poorly. even with sanchez that should not happen.
Really? How are you suppose to win when your QB can't score but 3 points and throws 2 interception and runs 20 yards backwards for sacks?? Explain, exactly how you win? Your second string defense is suppose to keep the other team to less than 13 points? Is that what you are saying? Please explain yourself!

They had their four commentators picking possible SB matchups. Just matchups, mind you.

Pats-Falcons
GB-Pats
Seattle-Chiefs
Giants-Steelers

Not one guy had the Cowboys even getting there. wow. Bulletin board stuff.

The Cowboys weren't picked to win the division either, just saying

Makes sense. Rookie QB.

Okay...

Is he a rookie or not because there's an entire thread here somewhere discussing some coach's statement around the middle of the season that he wasn't anymore. My take is, a rookie is a rookie and they aren't all created equal. Everyone keeps waiting for him to play like one, and I don't think he's going to. There are Pro Bowl, SB-winning QB's who have played a hell of a lot more like rookies this season than Dak Prescott. I don't expect anything different in the playoffs. The team around him isn't all rookies, is it? Or does player intensity depend on the experience of it's quarterback? I'm sure Dak will be well informed and coached up about the nature of playoff football. I have complete faith that Dak as well as the rest of our fantastic rookies are hungry and will be ready to rock.

Actually we won two of last three, and thirteen of last fourteen games that counted

Exactly. It doesn't mean their prediction is right but if we are going to be honest with ourselves.......the odds should be against us even with our record. But I have faith in this team.

Some times you guys have to get off your high horse. Everyone doesn't have to pick Dallas for everything. I know where I stand. I have faith in this team and while no rookie QB has ever led a team to a Super Bowl ring.....I don't think we've seen a rookie QB like this in a LOONNNNGGGG time......
We were a very young team in 1992 as well. Just saying.

My bad. I should have said 2 of the last 4. The 13 out of 14 is somewhat irrelevant. How any team played in October is not relevant to how they're playing now. I personally would look no farther back than the last three to gauge how well a team is playing.

Thinking Dak is going to be a liability in the playoffs because he's a rookie after the way he's played this year is right up there with thinking Tony wasn't going to be able to play football because he's 'rusty.' I don't believe people are even wasting time worrying about it.

The fact that we lost twice to a division opponent is a lingering wound that is coming back to haunt us. Until the Cowboys prove that they can beat a NY Giants team that hasn't been especially impressive this year, we won't be considered a legitimate SB contender. This is why the Cowboys sorely need to vindicate themselves from those two losses, despite the fact that they were such close games. I'm hoping we can and will.

The past is relevant because the Giants have a history of beating us in big games the past decade. We've faced them in 3 elimination/playoff games and they've beaten us each time. They beat us twice this year so they owned us. Not saying they're going to beat us again but I wouldn't be looking forward to playing them again in the divisional round like we did in 07. Any time they face us in a do or die game they'll feel confident because of their past history against us. I'm not trying to downplay our success but we mailed it in on Sunday and the Giants didn't and the momentum is on their side. Green Bay and Atlanta also finished the season strong, while we were losing by two scores costing us an opportunity at a franchise record 14 wins.

We took our worst beating of the season on Sunday and the same thing happened in 07 in the season finale, we just laid down. Giving honest opinions isn't showing a lack of support for the team. Garrett talked about entering the playoffs with momentum and went away from that by having his team kiss off the last game to a division rival. We'll see if kissing off that game pays off. I don't have a good feeling about the team right now, hopefully that will change.
So 07 just fits inside the decade long window so it's relevant. Got it.
If they beat Green Bay then we beat them does that start a new decade of relevance?

The fact that you think Sunday's game Is a factor at all is concerning.

When have you had a good feeling about the team?In 2012 you rarely, if at all, posted during the winning streak.
If you can't get behind a 13-3 team that sat most of its starters and all of its best players Sunday then when can you enjoy being the FAN of a team? You seem to want to bring others down as well. It seems odd to me.

Possibly there's a site that purely focuses on critiquing a team or sport and that may be more enjoyable for you.
