They do NOT have the toughest road! The rest of the NFC has to come to Dallas and beat Dallas. That is the toughest road. Jesus people!

Rookie QB going against Super Bowl winning QBs. Dallas definitely has the toughest road.

I would love to see a stat line of how many starting rookie QB's were on good teams. Most super bowl caliber teams aren't picking in the top ten let alone looking for a QB. As for the media bias who gives a rats arse where they rank the Cowboys. It's less pressure being the underdog anyways

All the haters predicting Dallas will be one and done. That could very well happen. The difference I think between this team and past teams if that happens is that this team will learn from it and come back better prepared next season. But I wouldn't write them off just yet. Dak and Zeke don't know that they're rookies and not supposed to be doing what they're doing. Dak hasn't met a big stage he can't handle yet and Zeke doesn't know the term rookie wall. To borrow a term from Lady Gaga, I believe this team is on the Edge of Glory. we shall see said the blind man.

They had their four commentators picking possible SB matchups. Just matchups, mind you.

Pats-Falcons
GB-Pats
Seattle-Chiefs
Giants-Steelers

Not one guy had the Cowboys even getting there. wow. Bulletin board stuff.

All those teams have more playoff experience than this Cowboys team so it's a safer bet despite Dallas being the #1 seed. If Dallas rolls in the divisional round then I expect some people to come around on them.

Dallas is favorites in the NFC, heavy favorites, so the odds actually disagree.

We were heavy favorites in 07 and ended up going one and done to the lowest seeded team in the NFC or just about the lowest seeded team in the Giants. The odds are based on our record this season but we have a rookie QB which is going to make it a real challenge to reach the SB. A rookie QB has never led a team to the SB which lowers our odds.

Too many people on here like to ignore trends and statistics and just throw realism to the wind "You never know!" and "theres always a first time".

Fact is...rookies have NEVER won.

And this therein lies the problem. It is a team game and I would venture a guess that no 4th round pick has ever been inserted into a team that really was a 12-4 team with a great oline, great RB like Dak has. So this is not your typical Rookie QB on a team in a position to draft early, and takes one of the best QB's available early in the draft. Those are the QB's that usually start the 1st year of their career.

This is a unique situation. Dak is a unique player, Zeke is a unique player and our Oline is rather dominant so "Never" could probably be applied to the situation Dallas is in right now as well.

Contrary to popular belief on this board, QB's don't win Super Bowls on their own!

I noticed that too, and even have not watched all that much of the media stuff either. Just the little I watched, they all are on the Brady / Rodgers love fest again.
I will limit my watching until after this weekend.
Its all about entertainment.

The media likes to direct the population.

Remember..they predicted Hillery to win also.

Last I checked, QB's don't play defense although I wish they did. Dak would have the upper hand there.

I hope you're right. History says otherwise, but there are a lot things that never happened before, until they did. Vegas can sit the odds anyway they chose too.. depending on the money flows.. not sure that is a real clue to anything in reality.. maybe it is.. I don't gamble and no nothing about it. But when you hear people that have actually played the game, won the titles, they all say it is going to be very difficult for Dak to get us the SB. And the fact that no rookie has ever done it, lends credibility to that thought.

This is an issue that everyone seems to be ignoring. Normal starting rookie QBs are very high picks that are on crappy teams. Of course they don't get to Super Bowls. Their teams almost always suck. We were a Super Bowl caliber team two years ago and would have been again last year were it not for injuries. Dak has been in a VERY unusual situation as far as the NFL and rookie QBs go. He's the very rare rookie QB that starts on a very good team. This FACT makes a very big difference from the norm.

I don't think it's disrespect. The Cowboys are being led by rookies who have never been to the playoffs, much less one a playoff game.
And let's not act as if it's unreasonable to wonder if Dak can handle the pressure that the playoffs bring.
I'm hoping he does well. But many Cowboys fans are always looking for ways to be offended.
Maybe it's my age, but I can't get all worked up because someone didn't give the Cowboys "respect." Go out and EARN your respect, which will come with winning.
I was thinking more the players taking it as a slap and some good motivation.

When you have two rookies leading the way, no one believes in them. But Dak Prescott is a different animal. Of the top 5 Qbs with the highest quarterback rating, Dak is third with the 2nd least interceptions. Brady is first with only 2, but missed 4 games. (must be nice for New England to play the JV every year) Dak is hanging out with the top QBs in the NFL, not just the top 10, but the top two or 3 in his first year.

The point is, guys still don't believe in Dak. He's not the best at anything except smarts. And those smarts will carry him anywhere he wants to go in his career. He's been tested in every scenario this year. He's had to come from behind, he's had to carry the team, he's had to go without his best receiver, his best tackle & guard, a bad defense, he's had to just sling it, manage it, he had to put up with his Owner doubting him, with fans wanting Romo, and this guy is a freaking rookie dealing with all of that. People are still saying that Zeke is the reason and this and that, and yet the guy keeps on breaking records.

Someday, people will learn.
