Dallas is favorites in the NFC, heavy favorites, so the odds actually disagree.

If you look at us versus the field...we are still underdogs as we should be. We don't have a dominant defense and and one of our games on the way to our ultimate super bowl victory ( :) ) could easily be a complete dog fight.

Dak...Someday, people will learn.

He's been ridiculous. Stupendous.

But as good as he's played...Rogers has played even better the past two months. And Brady is Brady.

It's going to be an awesome test. Can't wait!

And this therein lies the problem. It is a team game and I would venture a guess that no 4th round pick has ever been inserted into a team that really was a 12-4 team with a great oline, great RB like Dak has. So this is not your typical Rookie QB on a team in a position to draft early, and takes one of the best QB's available early in the draft. Those are the QB's that usually start the 1st year of their career.

This is a unique situation. Dak is a unique player, Zeke is a unique player and our Oline is rather dominant so "Never" could probably be applied to the situation Dallas is in right now as well.

Contrary to popular belief on this board, QB's don't win Super Bowls on their own!

I dont disagree...but we also recognize the QB has one of the highest levels of control of outcomes on the field.

Its not that they dont have the capability...but maturity plays a heavy role in playoffs and superbowls. Few rookie QB's have even hoped to have that level as a rookie.

We have a rookie QB and no rookie QB has ever led a team to the SB and one of the teams that are in the playoffs, the Giants have owned us this season and in elimination games the past decade. As much as I want to see the Cowboys in the SB I'm not sold on us. We have defensive issues and that's been our achilles heel in the playoffs the times we've made them and we have to see if Dak can handle playoff pressure. There's 3 teams in the NFC, the Giants, Packers and Seahawks that have QBs who've won championships and have played in 5 SB's between them. Dak is going to have his work cut out facing any of these QBs in do or die games.

I'm not saying the Cowboys can't reach the SB but right now I don't have a real good feeling about our chances. That could certainly change in the coming weeks. Off weeks seem to do us more harm than good, we never seem to come back looking sharp and ready to play. Although we're playing at home we're not a great home team, one of our losses was at home this season. We definitely have a chance but there's something deep inside of me that's not feeling it. I don't like the way we mailed it in on Sunday and there's a feel to this team that reminds me of the 07 team. I'm not counting us out but we're going to have our work cut out for us due to the inexperience we have at QB.
Explain to me how the past is relevant.
When is the cutoff?
We are one of the most successful teams in the history of the league.

Also, owned is a bit strong. I know you like to downplay the Cowboys success, possibilities, probabilities to win, etc. However, this year we are the number one seed with the second best record in the league. If now is not a time to be a fan and just support your team, you know like a FAN(as you love to say and mock) when is?

Seems your realism stance has run amuck. Have fun and enjoy the playoffs however you like. I guess.

The past is relevant because the Giants have a history of beating us in big games the past decade. We've faced them in 3 elimination/playoff games and they've beaten us each time. They beat us twice this year so they owned us. Not saying they're going to beat us again but I wouldn't be looking forward to playing them again in the divisional round like we did in 07. Any time they face us in a do or die game they'll feel confident because of their past history against us. I'm not trying to downplay our success but we mailed it in on Sunday and the Giants didn't and the momentum is on their side. Green Bay and Atlanta also finished the season strong, while we were losing by two scores costing us an opportunity at a franchise record 14 wins.

We took our worst beating of the season on Sunday and the same thing happened in 07 in the season finale, we just laid down. Giving honest opinions isn't showing a lack of support for the team. Garrett talked about entering the playoffs with momentum and went away from that by having his team kiss off the last game to a division rival. We'll see if kissing off that game pays off. I don't have a good feeling about the team right now, hopefully that will change.

They had their four commentators picking possible SB matchups. Just matchups, mind you.

Pats-Falcons
GB-Pats
Seattle-Chiefs
Giants-Steelers

Not one guy had the Cowboys even getting there. wow. Bulletin board stuff.

Makes sense. Rookie QB.

I was watching NFL Network last night and Michael Robinson said he still likes Dallas to make it to the Super Bowl because of their running game and the way they bully other teams.

I like them being the underdog....

I just talked to a Giants fan friend and they want Dallas again and thinks they will walk all over Dallas again. I'm like ok good if that's what you think. Go for it . Let them talk nothing is given in the playoffs if Dallas loses they lose it is what it is.

Dude is using a meaningless game played with 3rd stringers to make his point and leaving out the fact that the Giants lost the week before in a clinching game. He's emblematic of the concern trolling that is close to trashing this place.

I understand why people wouldn't pick Dallas. Let's be honest here. This is a very young team. I think people have a hard time getting behind such a young team. There's a reason why no team lead with a rookie QB has ever won a Super Bowl ring.

Some times you guys have to get off your high horse. Everyone doesn't have to pick Dallas for everything. I know where I stand. I have faith in this team and while no rookie QB has ever led a team to a Super Bowl ring.....I don't think we've seen a rookie QB like this in a LOONNNNGGGG time......

I wonder if when we beat the Packers if Dak will slap the belt around his waist. I bet if he did, he would be torn to shreds in the media for disrespecting a veteran, even though every bum we have played this year has mocked Zeke.
