Zeke was targeted 95 times because the team lost its top 3 receiving targets from the previous season, representing 300 passes that had to be distributed somewhere. Also, as unproductive as the typical Zeke target was -- his 1st down % ranked below "others" in both splits -- it was still better than a run by any other RB, and we were already running Zeke more than we wanted to. The OL was easily the worst version that Zeke has had to run behind in his three years. It's the main reason we were terrible in the red zone, the reason Smith looked like a different player, the main reason for all the sacks, and part of the reason so many passes went to Zeke.
