Division winner scenarios thread

philly also beat miami so only the detroit game would matter
Yep. But if Dallas beats Miami then it is a wash for both teams. If Dallas beats Detroit then that would be considered a better strength of victory than either the Chiefs or Buffalo for Philly.

This weekend should actually prove to be relaxing either way. A loss...which appears obvious...really means nothing. Because Philly isn't losing to AZ, and everything hinges on a NY loss.

The room is teams one beat and the other didn’t. So if KC and Buff keep winning games, that helps Philly. If LAC and NYJ pull out wins, that helps DAL
And that's exactly why there isn't much room. KC/BUFF > NYJ and anybody.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss AZ. Kyler Murray is due for one of those 'pull one out of his ***' PAUSE type games. And with this Philly defense/Hurts I wouldn't trust them against anybody right now

-------Bizarre they cant just look at the 2 games we played against each other and add up all points scored by both and the winner is the team who outscored the other.

Someone correct me if I have my facts wrong. Back in 1981 we won the last game of the year in Texas Stadium against Philly but lost the Division because they scored more total points over the entire season....it was such a downer of a victory!!!

it’s up in the air with strength of victory if we both win out.

We need DET, SEA, LAC, NYJ, CAR to win

We need ARI, KC, BUF, MIN, TB to lose

You can't really calculate like this because we don't know how the rest of the schedule besides Eagles and Cowboys games will go.
So what's the SoV calculation up to this point in the season?

I've already stated a few times in this thread. What did you add up to consider better wins? Again this is assuming both teams win out.
just add up the wins for the teams each of us beat.

I remember a week 17 in the 90’s where Green Bay and another team were all the way down to point differential so Green Bay was intentionally running up the score and Favre was just throwing bombs against a hapless opponent
