Can't wait until Gregory comes back. The D is carrying this team

People blame the D for some bad games but the defense is built on forcing turnovers and it isn’t going to happen with two elite edge players out. Gregory and Law force pressure and all of a sudden the QBs will start making more mistakes and won’t have all day to pick us apart. Yeah Parsons is lights out but the defense is best when pressure is coming from everywhere. Parsons gets his sack, Gregory gets pressure almost every play, Law gets some, other guys start stepping up. That’s when the defense can be great.

I still can't believe some of the hate dlaw gets around here. Just because he doesn't have elite sack numbers. Guy is always in the tops In the league in pressures (despite having no-one opposite him in the past) and is a great run defender.
It's mostly the fact he's paid 21M a season and he's missed the majority of 3 years of his career injured.

He's an excellent player and I can't understand why so many are ready to part ways with him. They need to find a way to resign Gregory and have 90, 94, and 11 creating chaos for the next few years. With Osa and Gally looking like good prospects in the middle, that front 7 is looking formidable.

Pressures are not as important as sacks despite what some football morons think. Now if you can get about 4 pressures to each sack then maybe but he does not do that.
Fact is between his injuries and lack of sacks he is over paid and that is what most here are mad about.

Now its not his fault that he is overpaid; that was on our moron in charge.

So you don't think pressure had anything to do with the 4 interceptions?

sack numbers dropped considerably, defense sucked to all time levels after he held the team hostage to get paid. it's not rocket surgery. glad to have him back though. getting randy back as well will be beautiful music

He was awesome tonight. And that was crap on the fumble

Don't agree. His arm was moving forward. Just missed on that one, but good job by Lawrence getting his hand on the ball. He ended up with two batted passes after that was reversed. Got a little pressure, but also seemed to draw quite a few chip blocks. Hopefully, getting Gregory back will mean if the offense chooses to chip Lawrence, Gregory will get in the QB's face. Unless we're rushing Parsons, we don't have anyone else right now who can force that.

You mean when DLaw hit the ball out of his hand? That was most definitely coming forward.
His arm was coming forward, but the ball never left his hand and it went backwards. I've never seen that before so I'm not sure on the rule. It's treated like a batted pass even though it didn't leave his hand? Because otherwise a backwards pass is a fumble.
