DLaw meeting with the Cowboys on Friday

With all the double teams Parson has faced since joining the team, you would think Lawrence would have a field day against 1 on 1 matchups and that has not been the case at all.

Cowboys can definitely go in another direction if Lawrence doesn't want to sign a team friendly deal.

Lawrence has 0-2 years of gas in the tank, and the Cowboys aren't competing for anything in that window. It's best for both sides to move on.
You’d think so yeah. Unfortunately Jerrys relationships with players and his “comfort” level wins over what’s best for the team.

See: Elliott, Ezekiel….the 2024 version.

Lawrence will be back and will make more money than he is worth….money they claim to not have.

I’m not saying he is terrible on the field, but it’s time to move on already, and I don’t trust him around a somewhat meek, rookie head coach with little authority or power. Look what he pulled with Garrett.

DLaw will be entering year 12 and is clearly on the decline. Should be an easy decision but again, due to our poor FO, we dont have better and younger players to step up.
Over the years we’ve had busts like Taco and Tapper, Decent rotational DEs like Dorrance and Gholston who werent good enough to be starters and warrant starting money in FA, and guys like Sam Williams who had yet to breakthrough as more than a rotational rusher who also has the maturity level of a 5 yr old.

Definitely could use a high level DE in the draft, but that can be said about 4-5 other positions too.

If he can’t be impactful it’s gonna be a huge impact. He’s flashed some talent but he’s been pretty inmature. We have more questions than answers. More holes than picks.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda...he is well received at present.

I don’t disagree but he has flashed. My point is that if he was ever going to pop it’s this year - the contract year.
Even if he did pop this year it wouldn't warrant a signing. Gotta see more than that before signing people again.

Sam Williams is the X factor. You would think a contract would motivate him.
Dallas is always a year late in signing players. It's as if they don't care about the advantage the remaining rookie year(s) does for the cap.

DT Milton Williams
DT Deshawn Williams
DT Chris Williams
DT Raequan Williams

DE James-Smith Williams
DE Jonah Williams
DE Sam Williams

Only those with the name of Williams...

Solid player but no longer worth the price tag.
Depends on price tag. I think a realistic price is gonna be 12 mil a year. Sign him 2 years with a voidable year and I think you couldn’t get an equal player for that
