Who actually even watches the sports broadcast on the news? I live in DFW and never turn it on. They are all pretty hopeless. Goes for print media as well.

The only thing I listen to is sports talk, The Fan. Ben and Skin are pretty worthless as well, but at least they have access to the goings on inside the Ranch and have guests on that can actually talk football. Same for the morning show.

Channel 11 had a pregame show which is the only time I ever watched them.

Most of the radio guys don't provide much insight themselves, but as you said, they have lot of good guests. Most of the insider details seem to come out on the radio. People say things that they won't put in print.

Do you make villains out of them when *they* stink? Or just give them a pass if they happen to share your sentiments about Jerry Jones? Because Steve Dennis was annoying just to listen to, must less if you ever tried to listen to what he was saying.

He's not a homer when it comes to asking the tough questions with JG and JJ. He also tells it like one of us were asking the hard questions, well some of us non star blue colored glasses think anyway.

You people trying to make Dennis some sort of realist aren't looking at his entire body of work.

Fine if he bashes the Cowboys or your favorite people to bash in the organization, then he's a realist.
But how about the guy who ever gave the Mavs (and especially Dirk) any prayer of ever winning a title? Was that a realist too? Heck no.
Or the guy who crapped on the Rangers --who would never sniff a pennant? Realist? F no.

The dude was consistently negative on local teams other than maybe when discussing Parcells. And Parcells was always viewed as a Giant anyway, no matter who tried to claim hi here.

Steve Dennis - Local sportscaster in my hometown got the big promo to cover the Dallas Cowboys a few years ago. I still don't know how he got that gig. I really didn't care for him while he was here and hope he has no plans on returning.

Im a Cowboys fan for over 40 years and never heard of him before this thread.
